How To Cut Glass Tile 

This worked great for redoing the shower/bathtub of my kid's bathroom. ru-vid.comUgkxfiuHoZJo3bgdVPFRxQ-iqPpfbEHl2cYt I didn't like the guide, so I took it off. I just used a fine tipped sharpie on the tile and followed that line. It does make a wet mess, and once I started looking like I wet myself I started wearing a towel and apron while cutting. The blade it came with worked great until we wore it out. It was better than the replacement one we bought. I tried looking for just their blade, but failed. Not really for larger tiles unless you stack stuff on either side to support the tiles. Anyway, would definitley buy again.

Thanks but what about if you only need to cut part of the tile? I already places the electric boxes, and some tiles will need to be cut length ways. This could get real tricky

How would you cut the glass to fit around plumbing in the wall?

I have 3x9 glass tiles, this was very inconsistent, I had a new carbide wheel and it was just too thick and I damaged too many. Also long cuts that where you are breaking off a half inch, is not negotiable with the scorer. I had to use a wet saw with a glass blade, it went smoothly after that.

Guh! I started with a wet saw after another video discouraged against this. Going to have to give this one a shot.

How would you cut a notch into glass tile?

I was eyeing a mesh tile mosaic backsplash that has stone as a component. Would this method work for that material or would you advise renting a a water tile cutter instead?

thanks but pretty basic stuff similar or identical to regular tile. i am more curious about the rubbing stone comment and how one can deal with cut glass tile edges in the field so they don't look cut or have a sharp edge. My application is for feature elements on back splash above stove and sink where i can't hide cuts like in a corner.

For people thinking of doing glass tile backsplash. This method is not practical and will not work when you get to corners and outlets.

Obviously, long straight cuts are child's play. Lets do those 'L' shapes.

Don’t be an idiot. Rent a sliding wet saw. This crap breaks glass everywhere and can’t get anything done
