Roscoe hasn't cut his hair in a year and wants a trim. He said he didn't know if any barbers knew how to cut that long of hair. Of course I was the guy for the job. We're just going to do a nice trim all over using only shears. Then we''ll finish it off with a loose messy style!

Great video! I liked that you put his feedback on the haircut at the end❤️‍🔥 I got 2 questions man would love to get an answer. been working more with scissors for a while and I can’t see my guide when I’m cutting the top from back to front or the from the front to the back and I end up improvising or cutting the hair shorter and uneven. Do you got any tips for that? And the second question is what’s the point of point cutting? Is there any difference? Thanks for the gems you’re dropping you very helpful🤝
@Seancutshair
@Seancutshair 8 месяцев назад
You can use your scissors to pull the longer hair out of the way to find your guide. I also have a video on a vertical profile guide that’s easy to follow. Could try that! Point cutting just adds a bit of texture to accentuate the style. Not necessary but has its place

@@Seancutshair fair, I personally find the back of my fine wavy-curly hair so dense is a no fly zone for thinning shears (frizz) but the razors/point cutting doesn’t always take enough bulk out so thought they could work for texture during the grow out phase

When you are cutting the first guide around the parietal on the sides do you want to pull out from the parietal like you did the back or down at a 45? Also, how did you tie in the hair in front of the ears at the temples? I watched what you did but didn’t understand and I have a cut with similar length this week and I’m feeling uneasy 😂

Hey mate, i work at a walk in barber shop in Aus, and am an apprentice. the other guys except boss are quite fast but i feel they aren’t doing the cuts properly and also aren’t qualifed and i’m going to tafe for my certificate. Anyway, what would you think the average haircut time should take? Cheers
@Seancutshair
@Seancutshair 8 месяцев назад
30 minutes minimum for a quality haircut. I take 45 or so
@ghaythmessi
@ghaythmessi 8 месяцев назад
For a classic cut it will take you around 20min, for fading it should take you around 30min. it also depends on the type of the hair and different things. I work in a barbershop in AUS and we are required to work hard and cut the unnecessary thing and be fast in our cuts. My advice to you is to find a fast techniques and stick to it while you are learning and the best videos for fast cuts you will find it in Sean's channel.
