Thanks so much for this tutorial, how did arrived at 4 inches that you used for the middle. For example my hip is 48, how did l go about the middle cutting. Thanks

Divide the hip into two, 24"for front and 24" for the back, your middle piece to form the dart is 8", subtract 8" from 24", you have 16", so the sides will share 16" and that is 8" and 8", to cut out, measure 5" with your sewing allowance. I hope you understand ....
