If doing acrylic or gel nails they now Suggest waiting for after hand wash after applying acrylic and completing nails to apply oil. Reason being that oil can make monomer that has been filed off and fallen on skin penetrate in skin, where it will bond with proteins to create allergens. You’re welcome. Make sure to use same company monomer and polymer also to avoid monomer not curing properly and no shortcuts on timing either. Please people you can do a lot of harm to people if you’re not properly trained.

I’m from Moscow and I sincerely don’t understand why everyone is talking about infection. LITERALLY ALL the girls I know (mom, friends, grandmother, classmates, EVERYONE) get this manicure every month. Never in my life have I heard or seen any infections from this. The master disinfects EVERYTHING in several stages using special equipment. How can you get a beautiful, neat manicure without removing cuticles? in Russia it is considered literally terrible and poor-quality work if your cuticles were not removed.

Я чёт тоже не пойму, каких инфекций они так боятся. Если кутикула удалена аккуратно, без порезов кожи, с чего бы ей воспаляться?
@aeIIi

your cuticles and eponychium are two different things. you’re mistaking the cuticle for the eponychium if you remove the eponychium it can be hazardous and can cause infection to the nail. removing cuticles are fine. please educate yourself before talking on this

If u do this you probably have to push the cuticle back first (??? I’m still learning if I get this wrong)

i didn't do the cutting but used the ball bit maybe on too high speed or st, but it cut my skin while i just tried to get the dry dangling parts away :( my skin is very soft & sensitive though so maybe that's also why - even in salons my hands would almost always bleed

WHAT YOU SAY IS CORECT IS ACTUALLY WHAT U SHOULD'NT DO,IS TOTTAL WRRONG THE WAY YOU HANDLE THE ANGLE 🥺TAKE CARE,IN SHORT TIME U DAMAGE U NAIL,YOUR LUNULA.YOU CAN EVEN SEE THE PLACE U WORK ON START TO BECOME PURPLE. I don't want to spread hate..but your tehnic is not right.. you touch the nail bed with the belly of the flame bit,wich in school in europe they teach us is verry bad to do..youre angle of the bit is not in the right direction..u can see u touch the nail bed,and you only should touch the skin..so in about a year by doing this,or less..u can damage you nail.. if there is any dust on your belly bit flame u hold the efile wrrong, this is how u can see is wrrong ,by checking the belly.. so on the side as well..never hold the efile straight..should be at an angle.. What you show here is how you not suppose to do it..

Be careful when cutting the eponychium as it can lead to getting infections! If a client asks for it to be cut make sure to warn/educate them. Cutting it may also be illegal depending on your state. If anyone doesn't know the difference between the eponychium and the cuticle, please teach yourself before attempting cuticle care! Respectfully, an almost graduated nail tech student
