It's actually uncanny how great the effect looks and how easy they are to make. Just a few clicks without dragging any sliders around or inputting values/code into some file or something. Thanks for the tutorial!
Wow! I remember asking about this method yesterday and you already put a tutorial out. Very simple, easy, and fun to tinker around with. The first time you datamosh/datamix it will ask what folder to put the altered clips in but I just put them into my Vegas projects folder. Thanks so much for the great video!

I’ve been looking how to do this particular glitch effect for the longest time and didn’t know it had an official name, I always thought it was called “analog glitch” but that always brought up the stupid cliché glitch effect with the red and blue shift effect. Datamoshing works just fine, thank you! I appreciate how you are straight to the point, just as tutorials should be. We all want to learn after all, not watch five minutes of shill and sell. But on my end Datamixing seems to only give me the clip I just marked as its own rendered version without any of the mixing. Does it have to be two separate clips from two different sources/files or am I overlooking something?
@Levi Chicwown the reason is because the FIRST video has little to no movement, which is why itll just look still until the datamosh clip ends i can prove because my first clip was literally only the mouse cursor moving, and it made a few patches in where the mouse was moving, and then just skips to the second clip. make sure the first clip actually has movement, and it should work
Can you please help me because when I datamixed, I used one clip. I split the time where the datamixing starts. Then I followed what you did in the video (Loop region, then datamix). HOWEVER, after the rendering, nothing happens! As if it did not datamix. BTW nice and efficient video.

@@LebaneseLizard yeah having the same problem here when i tried searching for the missing files could only find the first one and cant find the second one even though i have the first one notsure what to do with it
Everything, will not work!!! I've pretty much tried every single thing possible replacing files from using the original creator stuff updating everything It's in the right folder and I just cant stop getting a dll error!!!!!

My Datamix isnt working for transition it only shows around a few frames of the datamix then back toi the normal clip. There is movement in the clip, automatic crossfades is off, and i have selected more than 2 or around 2 seconds of footage. Let me know how to fix please! also good vid btw!
life saver! one question; how do you get the datamoshed sound? edit: the datamosh sound is created with the datamosh, its just that it only automatically imports the video. the actually video files saved to the folder chosen include the audio.

Does the datamix work for anyone anymore? I've been trying for an hour or so to troubleshoot it with no luck. It like says its rendering but once its finished it just renders the video without the actual effect. EDIT: So I managed to get it to work after some time. I came to the conclusion that this error might occur to a new update of windows or something so I installed a VM for Windows 7 and it works fine there. I'm not sure if it works on others but if you're willing to try please reply with your results. I hope this helps someone.
Datamixing doesn't work for me. There's no error but it doesn't automatically insert the video and the transition is pretty much just a cut from video to video. I'm on the newest version of windows 10 and vegas 19
I'm trying to do a datamix, i did everything the video said and i still cant get it to work. i select the region, starting from the beginning of the second clip, then click on scripts > datamix and then i don't do anything else until the program is done. the clip appears on the Proyect Media tab, but there's nothing different about it, there's no datamix in there. Any idea as to why this happens? Also, i disabled automatic crossfade, so that shouldn't be an issue

im on vegas 15 this datamixing does not work. I have followed the video completely. Re-installed xvid. Installed the newest xvid. Re-installed the scripts. Tried delthas scripts. Disabled auto cross-fades. What im doing is creating a loop after the cut like in the video and then selecting datamixing, it then looks as if its rendering something but the video I get is just a copy of the loop region without any transition. I making this loop region around 2 seconds. I've been on this for 2 hours now and I can't finish the video I've been working on because of this.
@@mikebazinga982 no, go by each individual frame. Instead of starting the loop at the cut, use the EXACT next frame after the cut (press on your arrow keys once) and start the loop there. That worked for me
I hope This tool gets updated or something, bc getting the same error code that doesn't find the .dll file just freaks me out. Idk if there's a way to open these .cs files or not, but I'm just 1 step away to do the funny effect and I don't want to give up just yet. I also appreciate the video, it's fast paste and very understandable, great job!
Hi, everytime i try to put the datamix or the datamosh it says that the access to the path (the whole route of the archive) is denied. Do you know if there is any fix for this? Im using Vegas 21 and idk if is that is a newer version or is just file that givee me this error. If you know how to fix it pls respond, thank you.

i get an error which says message missing meta data file micorosft windows api code pack.shell.dll could not be found i downloaded those and tried everything and it still doesnt work any fixes ?
