Have you ever had a person who rarely calls and checks on you, but asks you for favors? This happens because we as a people has lost the tribal mentality today. How to deal with a person always asking for favors?
Even if they appreciate it, you probably still shouldn't give it to them. Some people will appreciate it, and be asking you all the time, as they appreciate it.
This was a great video... Very informative. Unfortunately we live in a self absorbed society. I have been on the receiving end way too many times where people only contacted me to use me or for a need. I am a giver by nature and sometimes it was hard for me to "say no" being the people pleaser that I was. But as I got older I realized that I have to think about me for a change and put me first...I call it life's little lessons that we all learn from. I stopped doing favors a long time ago....I had one so called friend that would only call when he needed something the last time he called for a favor I told him I can't see he said you can't see i said yes I can't see myself doing favors for you anymore

A new acquaintance called me this week to ask if I wld sell her my sons bike, which was fine , even though she had changed her mind three times . And,,... here’s the cheeky part,,, she asked me to go buy the mudguards and a padlock and fix the dam mudguards onto the bike !!! 😳😱thought she had a darn cheek, considering she has let me down a few times when we had arranged to meet. I said yes, and did the job, but she is no friend of mine from now on. No text from her to say a sincere thankyou for doing the job. Selfish rude individuals make me sick. Why is it people keep asking me to do them favours this summer ?

She said she was "checking in" on me and then she proceeded to ask me for a little favour. I haven't responded back, I felt as if, I needed to figure out how to properly and politely tell her no. I honestly wish that she would just contact my ex-boyfriend probation officer and leave me alone. However I am going to take all of the information you shared in your video and put it into practice with a response email. Hopefully, she will never message me again, will leave me alone to move on and live my life happily with my new relationship. Again, thank you for this video. 🙏🏼
I totally relate to this shit. My nephew sent me a message via FB asking for $. Mind you he never calls me or even acknowledge me buying gifts for his kids.
sounds like my story, this nephew ask me for money and wants to como over, he wants me to go get him, I'm like your mom can bring you. she never did , so I had to stop contact.

The one I can’t stand is when you only hear from them when they are down. When they are good, you hear crickets. I’ve had family on multiple occasions get help from me and then discard me like trash. I’m done. All I want is respect, that shouldn’t have to be asked for. If people respect you, they don’t use you.
Ppl also appreciate just coz they want something from u(temporary,superficial words) but in yr gut u know they dont really care ...always call when they need when u needsomething they will make lame excuses everytime....so words means nothing but action does....Goodbuy🕉️

Yes, it is. On my part, Racial tensions and racism are at all time high. I don't talk about or discuss racism. I avoid it.I will listen to other person, but I refuse to engage in that area unless that person says something out of order then I will speak and tell it how it is..Like some, they refuse to talk about religion or politics I say it like this there are good and bad apples in every race. Literally my friend. She flakes everytime I try to make plans with her and when she actually did text me first to hang out first it was coz she needed something from me. Cant seem to cut her off though since we've known each other for a decade and used to do everything together. I dont expect us to do everything together but a call and a chat over coffee every once in a while goes a long way

So called friend asked me to get some food for her kids since they had coro.I said yes but I'll have to do it in the morning since I'm busy....She hasn't spoke to me sonce.Same lady that told me she loved me 3 years ago so I'd pay attention to her..
