It’s a common issue, it can be just a little bit or too much to handle. It’s the «pushy» horse. Teaching a horse to respect our boundaries is important to our safety, but it doesen’t mean we have to get strict or mad and punish our horse. Horses don’t know that they are supposed to respect our boundary either, unless taught. Here is a simple way to establish and maintain your personal boundary in a calm way.

What a cute pie 😍 🥕🥕🥕Thank you for a great idea! I know a young horse that has not yet learned to respect the space around a human. This is very simple and horse friendly. Thank you!

I really like all of these videos and like that you changed the way to teach things depending on what to teach. This is a method so you bring is along and show us step by step, while with the spooky horse its more about body language, the heises mind. Its not a method, its a way of thinking so you explain how the horse might think and how we can adapt that into what we want!!! I love this and i love how you explain things!!!! A very good beggining on what promises to be a very good and educative channel!!!🦄

My horse doesn't react to the rope swinging.

And here I come with a super not sensitive horse where I can swing that rope into infinity and he won’t even take his mouth away 😂 Honestly, I one accidentally hit him with this rope (I didn’t see he was sneaking right behind me) and he just gave me a tired look but didn’t move at all 😂

Some horses seem very unaffected yes😄 And often, if we increase the pressure, they resist even more because their mind is thinking of ways to resist, not respond🙄 There is no one cure fits all of course, most of the time we have to find ways to adapt according to what horses respond to 😊

@@equinestatera4855 Yes, that’s true 😁 My trainer has been all “increase pressure, increase pressure, show him crazy” and to some extent it really worked but then we reached the point when he does react but you can see there is also fear in his eyes... anyways, I keep looking and hopefully we’ll find a way that works for him and doesn’t cause him much stress

Anna I have a similar horse. Have you figured out a better method? Thanks in advance.
@annalatrocka680
@annalatrocka680 2 года назад
@@MegaPlucas It depends on what exactly - when it comes to him not respecting my boundaries like coming too close to me when not asked to I do react very lightly and then when he doesn’t respond immediately increasing the pressure, like very very much. It just would be dangerous if he would do whatever he wants always. But when it comes to him not wanting to move or work, I just play with tasks and reinforcements to make it interesting for him and I praise A LOT, even the smallest effort from his side. I play a lot with methods, but we’re going into training with more advanced trainer since this month, so hope for better now :)
