Every survivor build i make has bt in it, for both solo and swf. Just for those cases where the killer is proxy camping and I dont really wanna leave someone on a hook as its boring and super annoying to die first hook, especially is your in a swf and have to wait for your team to finish a match.
To be fair, BT only activates and becomes a problem for you if your proxy camping. Adjust your playstyle to juggle survivors instead and you'll notice BT and DS mean nothing anymore.
@@johnwarner4178 it's a clear tell that they have the perks mentioned, if they don't even give you the chance to walk away. At that point your best off taking the easy hits, but pursuing further will just be a waste of your time. Can't always think of killer as a straight line.
Agree and i though it was gonna do sonething like that when they said they will give us more ways to get tokens not just write you can also get from pallet and flashlight saves something you we're always getting tokens from 😄😄😄
Should also get stacks for not only taking hits but being in range of a killer when a survivor wiggles out, either bc they got the killer to waste time by missing hits or with break out
@Nate Higgers wglf rewards risky altruistic playstyles with extra points. while hooking survivors is a killers objective, killing a survivor is their main objective. imagine if killers only got a stack for successfully killing a survivor, that's what getting a stack for finishing a gen would be like. killers don't get 4 kills every game, survivors don't always get 4 gens done every game. I like where they're headed with WGLF but I do think stacks should be limited to altruism and boldness actions.
@Nate Higgers I get what you're saying and I agree that wglf stacks are hard to get but thats why I'm saying there should be more events that reward stacks, i just don't think doing gens fits with what the perk is trying to encourage. Some examples of what i think would be good events would be sabotaging near a killer while they're carrying a survivor, getting a killer to drop a survivor even without taking hits, picking up slugged survivors, maybe even healing another teammate within the killers TR
@Nate Higgers God damnit... you’re name is really making it hard for me to pass No NWord November... It’s been two days since I’ve said it... two long excruciating days...
The problem i seem to have is there are quite a few smerfs and also i get matched with survivors in purple and green ranks all the time even though im a rank 17 killer. Im a rank 6 survivor.
I feel attacked, because this is me in a nutshell. I am a very mediocre looper on any tile, but Shack and almost every main building that isn't fucking POS Coldwind Maps are where I can loop a killer for literal hours.
@@mythmage8231 Thats the Definition of boosted. A good survivor could loop a killer at a weaker tile for a long time. A good survivor does not use infinites or god loops over and over. Just because that counts as exploiting
@@jibrailhattar190 oh no, you misunderstand. I am a killer main with a sub-optimal computer. Coldwind is basically "get rank 20s or lose" for me because of FUCKING CORN
REAL good video The whole "dont get salty message" is such a resounding and great message to give out. It is 100% ok to see our mistakes and seek to improve instead of deflecting so that we can protect our ego
Another thing to remember: Most killer players will only have a few hundred hours played. The game is a 1 v 4, so if one of the survivors happens to be a god with 5k hours it's normal that you lose. Would you get tilted if Lebron James owned you at basketball?
Couple quick asides: - Polite chat, nice to see player complimenting each other sometimes. 😄 - The highest scoring player was the survivor with 40,654. That's a lot of Blight generator points! Even if he had died he still might have outscored Scott's "perfect" 32k.
@@britishpotato1019 No, We're Gonna Live Forever adds to points outside of the trial like BBQ and Chili or standard bloodpoint offerings. (If these perks added to the scores then you'd see scores of like 60k)
Actually, the survivor was guaranteed to have more than 32K score. He's not obsession, so he'd only get 5K from escaping, and MAYBE 1250 BP for opening gate, assuming he didn't have max objective before that.
The only times I ever feel like I’m being bullied is a large amount of unnecessary teabagging, like they waste time because they know you are bad and can make major mistakes in your face and get away with it
Damn you hit the nail on the head by pointing out that what a lot of people consider “bullying” is just survivors not being scared anymore. I’ve seen people playing killer that say shit like “he’s doing that gen right in my face that’s so disrespectful” and get tilted about it.
I got in a match as blight with a bully squad who was streaming on twitch who all brought the stuff to seperate hooks and shit to sabo so I slugged them all and killed them then had their viewers message me shit saying I'm toxic.
@@pbacon95 I dunno man. It’s kind of shitty when I’m in solo queue when a killer tunnels me and Mori’s me off of first hook. While I find the rest of my team all crouching around the map.
Maybe semantics to some, but atleast for me I disagree strongly on your depiction on bully squad. Sweaty squad is a SWF which optimizes and coordinates everything and can be bold as mentioned to benefit the team. They can coordinate tactics and items that can be unfun for killer, but they're only picked to tip the odds more for in their favor. Bully squad first and foremost objective is to ruin killers experience, everythings is secondary, even winning. Manifested in teabags, clicking, all kinds of other obnoxious behaviors such as spamming vault to spam the explosions for killers or run double OoO jus to point the killer. While sweaty squad is not inherently bad on moral level, it can still be awful to go against. Bully squad as name implies is just getting the kicks from malice actions and such should be clearly disinguished from the normals swf's and should be heavily frowned upon.
This I agree with. This team was good but they were also friendly in end game. Bully squads are literally only satisfied with making the killer tilted. This kind of stuff makes me quit the game for months at a time only to try again and repeat the process
THIS. Bully squads well... bully people. Like a toxic Killer who camps, tunnels, hits on hook, call people trash, etc. A Bully Squad click, tbeag, point, run full sabo squads, bring Killers to Ormond, call people trash, etc.
I strongly agree I wish more people would note the difference. I'm a sweaty as killer, so I deserve sweaty ass survivors, but I hate going against people who try even harder to win not because they are sweaty but because they're awful people and winning really is secondary to them and they have a shit attitude.
FAX. This shit is the reason why if you’re just a good survivor who has lots of hours and is “sweaty” but isn’t necessarily trying to ruin the killer’s experience/gameplay, you’re considered a “toxic entitled survivor main”
scott, buddy, you got 32K points with 3 kills and 11-10 hooks. literately just shy of a perfect victory and the last guy made it out by the skin of his teeth. That's a clear victory in my book. Focusing on just getting the 4k is just not enough for me and isn't as challenging overall. my personal draw or tie conditions for killer are as follows. 1.getting roughly equal amount of BP the collective average of the survivors BP. 2.get 2 kills. 3.get to at least a safety pip (even if I am already rank 1). for Survivor it is as follows. 1.having 2 survivors escape. (myself escaping is a bonus) 2. having higher average blood points collectively as a team compared to the killer. 3. getting at least a safety pip. anything less for me than these requirements is a loss. additionally, getting 2/3 of the requirements for killer or Survivors counts as victory. I feel like this is as close to the wins conditions that the devs "intended" for dbd and is why I chose to use these requirements tp judge my gameplay.
He always says since theres no win condition in this game that winning can be whatever anyone wants it to be. Thats why if you watch his stream and theres a match where he may only get one kill his chat will say, “You got 4 stacks of bbq so you win.” I think he sets his win condition so high simply because he knows he has a lot of hours and will play better than most survivors he goes against.
thanks Scott! From time to time I get frustrated and I just think I'm not good at the game (despite playing since 2016), but watching this video has made me realise that everyone goes through that once in a while.
These guys are the best example of high skilled but not toxic survivors. Game should always be like this if you meet strong killers or survivors. They know they are strong but they dont tbag, they dont "click click", they just push you and themself to the limit of their and your skill! GG! :)
I feel like the best way to deal with a bully squad is to just respond with the most aggression you can possibly pull. Like commit to chases a lot more, break pallets instantly to end any looping, make sure to keep and eye on any hooks and maybe slug the last two or three of you can. Just don't back down if they're being overly aggressive.
If they're trying to bully, take advantage of it. Usually against bully squads in my experience, they'll be two or 3 survivors trying to mess with me while the last one sticks on gens all game, don't commit to chases too long, get a pallet or two out of someone and rotate. If you don't get a pallet or a hit in 15 seconds of chase, you most likely did something wrong. I only play Ghostface although I have started to play a lot of Legion lately as well so I deal with squads like this all the time. Not "Death" squads but bully squads who try to make me suffer as much as possible since I'm playing mid tier and under killers. If you have to force someone to second stage, do it. If you want to slug, do it. Don't try to play nicely at all. If they're gonna ruin my fun, I'll play the same game but most of all don't get tilted. That's what they want. If it's a bad map for killer like Ormond or Cowshed aim to get 2 of them because at the end of the day, getting two of them on unfavourable maps while they run every second chance perk available is perfectly okay and don't give them any attention in post game chat. Just say gg and leave.
This is only the second video I watch of you in a year. But love your vibe, chill ness and explanations. Look forward to watching more of your videos. :)
There are competitive teams and there are bully teams. This was a competitive team trying to get their objective (gens+exiting) in the fastest way possible. Bully teams usually don't care about the objective and like to perform what they think are funny tricks like locker saves, different techs etc. Imho for both kind of teams things like tunneling, basement camping and facecamping are valid strategies because both kind of teams don't care about balanced gameplay, they care about either efficiently winning or successfully performing stunts.
I remember when I went up against the most toxic survivor group and after a few generators of t bagging and endless loops I just went ham and killed em all. It was funny to see them on their last hook.
A lot of survivors at red ranks have actually given me tips on how to be a better killer after they rolled me. Their tips have actually helped me a lot. The two that helped the most were some perk suggestions and to commit to chases.
@@jamescarrotcsl8 no, back then I would chase people for a few seconds then leave and that wasn’t very good. They told me to commit a bit more and it helped a lot
Most of the time these players REALLY enjoy playing against killers who "sweat" or play hard as well. They enjoy the challenge, hence why they thanked you for playing well in the lobby. Wish matchmaking wasn't broken so I could actually play against good survivors and/or killers more. By good killers I mean actual good killers, not just ruin/undying oni cringe
18:40 I Mean, what pisses me off sometimes it's not the fact that ''they don't fear me'' or something like that, it's the fact that they ''''don't fear me'''' and they don't even have to be good at looping to get way with it, especially if I'm playing a '''''low tier''' killer or something.
In my experience, you should always welcome good teams to play against with open arms. Sure, you might struggle against them, and you could get stomped, but playing against players who are as good as you or even better will always teach you more than just stomping new/bad players. Going into any multiplayer pvp game with the mindset to take challenging situations as something to learn from, in my experience, reduces tilt and long-term make playing the game more fun. Try not to blame others for being better at the game, but rather look at yourself and improve from every experience. And most of all, be friendly to other players. They're people like you and me, and only because they might want to take the game more seriously than you do, doesn't make them bad people. Be open-minded and accept that not all approach something exactly the way you do.
I agree with your hesitance at using the "bully" word and your comments at the end but when you're a new killer, or playing a low level killer against a group like this, it can be absolutely defeating. I'm not sure why matchups like this happen so often but it seems just so darned common.
Thinking about this, it's kind of insane how people talk about balance, yet the game is also balanced well enough that split second decisions, namely the tiny extra distance on that bounce at shack letting Jane finish the last gen, literally make or break the play. If something going well depends on that kind of reaction speed and making the smart play, then I'd venture to say it takes skill and experience to do it
I don't like dealing with sweat squads. If I see OoO + obvious SWF + items, I just stand in front of my basement box and let them rush their gens. I'll even open the gate when they finish. In the meantime, I alt tab and watch cat videos or something. I told a player this in the forums when they asked themselves how others deal with it. I was promptly banned for a week because 'it broke the rules.' K.
This was an intense game. But best thing about DBD is that not all games are going to be the easy. I see so many negative comments on this. But seeing the match it really felt like a tournament level match! Which isn't always a bad thing. Even if scott lost it would be a game to grow from. Which he implies when he's reviewing the video and points out any mistakes and such.
I've had squads much worse than this. Ones where despite playing extremely ballsy they just don't go down and can coordinate bodyblocking in chases to prevent you from even downing a single person, and then having 3 people box you in so you can't even make it to the nearest hook if you somehow manage to both down someone and pick them up without getting stunned.
honestly I hate it when the survivor is on the exit (when they can move an inch and escape) and for some reason it's just -impossible to let me get a hit after a 0 kill game.
it's more of a comm issue than anything because the other 3 know to work gens because you're chasing someone else and they telling each other through comms
I rarely ever play as killer simply because it’s a huge waste. It feels like every match I’ve been in has been a copy and paste match. All the survivors body block and loop and honestly it feels like ass when they genuinely don’t play as survivor but more so a troll. Purposely not playing the game (working on gens, healing, all that stuff) and more so just screwing with a killer. I’m a really good survivor, so I know all of tips and tricks that a survivor would do, but it’s so annoying when you play as killer with that knowledge and still getting totally shit on.
Actually best survivors you might encounter will behave more like what Scott would call not so good survivors, that play more passive. Against such group you won't find someone until two or more gens are like 25-30% because they will stealth alot during early game. They will be in a safe spot the moment you decide to switch targets and will never give such free hits as in the video. They'll never save in your face early because those survivors know that you being around the hook is time, so they'll take advantage of any time you give them. And playing against such group might feel no less humiliating cuz they won't even let you hit somebody for a longest time possible, and if you don't play a top-tier killer you will never get a chance at a 4k
The problem as I see it, is that I go against these people at rank 10. Two or more of them littered with lower ranks. I hear that it used to be that if you qued with red ranks, you fought red ranks. This sounds nice.
Personally, I always thought “bully squads” were people who just go out of their ways to be an asshole, y’know? Like, constantly bm’ing, ignoring gens just to get a stun or blind, hook rushing, etc. just going out of their way to be annoying. There’s probably a different term for that though, rather than “bully squads”
Really good vid Scott me being kinda new to killer this is helpful especially for Jew killer players matches like these are very frustrating and makes u not wanna play nomore
Jfc that's not even a bully squad, that's 2 and 2 at most. Bully squad is WAY harder to play with than that. Bully squad would have sabo'd his hooks before he could reach them, and tea bagged him at every pallet. I would like to see a video like this again against a real toxic bully squad....
I don't really agree with your reading that these squads are not there to bully people, it's literally their entertainment to make someone miserable enough to make him give up in afk or straight up dc.
What? Everyone said the game was enjoyable, he got 3 kills because he messed up a bit, everyone got tons of points and the survivors were good sports? I'd love to play an intense game like that anytime. I swear people are taking this way too personally.
@@olive8382 lol guarantee they only said that because they looked at killer and saw the tag as ScottJund. Any non popular content creator name and they would have been toxic af.
@@maxt3832 I'm average and I hit red ranks. Players like this can be very frustrating, but it usually only gets to me if I have the unfortunate luck of getting like 2-3 games like this in a row.
Bro great job nice not swinging at the window fakes and knowing when to leave the survivor. Usually I just get chased all game and the killer throws bc of that not very smart but you played amazing man
You can't expect to get a 4k every game. It sets your expectations too high. Survivors have the hatch and key that can let them escape when they didn't deserve it. 3k's are enough.
most of the survivors look and act cocky but they actually aren’t that good yeah, they know how to deal with your perks, when to go to unhook, when to sit on gens, but in a chase they can be pretty predictable and unaware of surroundings, so I wouldn’t worry too much
Survivors healing in your face is what you want (bc they are not doing gens... aka their objective) Ex. 8:30. Also breaking down time investments to the seconds (11:34) but doesn't use his power in the easiest of chases which would save him time, Example at 5:52 Scott slugs Yui to chase Nea and could easily knock her quicker with power then rotate back to the Yui and catch her getting healed thus creating more pressure... but he knocks Nea and picks bad choice (even 5-10 secs of overall time saved could help a match turn from a loss to a win against a good team). Also more than 50% of the tiles and pathing decisions these survivors took could have been shut down if Scott knew how to use Blights power more optimally Ex. 8:14 this is a very easy flick with his power Scott didn't throw his gamer arm hard enough.
I don't think this is a bully squad match its more of a killer bullying match against an average dbd team. Yeah these survivors stayed on gens in terror radius, yeah they healed up there team near killer, yeah they tried to commit gens in your face. But is that bullying? I always thought pub bullying was swfs tbagging, constant taunting using flashlights (spam clicking, constant forced flashlight saves Ex. Sweh's new flashlight locker video against a huntress) and I barely saw that. Now if your talking about optimally bullying a killer id say that is when a good team splits pressure, plays very safe, constant tabs on killer, and with that gen rushes tf outta you
Most of the bully squads i'v seen afe on PC, I had a claudette vote for midwich with object of Obsession, they DC'd the second they found out I played Ghostface cuz she knew that her troll plan wasn't gunna work
For me, what you described is not what a bully squad is at all. That's just how a well - rounded squad seems to work in high - ranked levels. And I am not saying this to diminish the message of this video, because it truly does have a lot of useful tips and tricks, but the general messaging of this video seems to dismiss that there truly ARE survivor squads out there that are out to bully and make killers not have a fun time. I personally think that there is no shame in choosing not to engage or DC if that is the only option they end up giving you, especially if you lack the skill level to face them head - on (no pun intended). (Though, unfortunately, the drawback for DC'ing is still pretty steep, more so for killers than for survivors.)
This isn't a bully squad, you don't get bully squads anymore. Bully squad is something that happens to rank 10+ killers who run against red ranks, who do nothing but loop/blind/sabotage all while teabagging you.
I thought this video was garbage (sorry Scott) until recently when I was in an swf match and tried to remember what you said. I was also saved because they kept being downed next to walls a lot
If you keep running into bully squads and you can’t deal with them effectively, just run lightborn and put a lot of effort into not revealing you have it early on. Step 2: prosper
I don't think this is a bully squad. They just played in way that counters your playstyle. Plus with the new perks, this is probably the way it's meant to be played now.
I believe killers get so easily irritated or frustrated while playing because most games they go against randoms and 4K easy like he said at the beginning. I play killer and survivor I 4K most my games as killer unless I’m trying something new and I die most my games as survivor while playing my butt off rarely do I have 2-4 escape. Just saying when going against a good killers it’s so difficult to win because we don’t have comms I’m guessing what I should do instead of knowing these guys weren’t bullies at all their wasn’t any clicking teabagging repeated vaults or rushed locker exits js and if you think so you soft these guys just wasn’t scared
I guess I just don't understand the mentality of "winning" still on either side completely. Survivors want to escape (typically) in some fashion or survive long enough to accrue enough points or even to secure someone else's survival but killers really don't make any sense to me. It's like, you get one kill and you've "lost", you get two kills and you've "lost", three? "lost". You even said it yourself in this video, if I had played this differently I would have won. You killed 3/4 people... How is that not a victory? I think the major issue with this game is people's definitions of winning and losing. Every killer I've run into always assumes that if I've died as survivor I've lost and I'm salty. Then the opposite can be said for survivors, if they survive they sometimes throw shade at the killer for "not winning" or some shit / being salty they didn't kill. This entire community is actually mental. I can confidently say that after 2k hours. Everyone, myself included, needs to take a big step back and re-evaluate winning and losing. This mentality of "toxicity" is insane.
When I come against a "bully squad" and 4k them, you can guarantee 100% of the time they're going to cry in the post game and make up shit to jusitify their loss. If you're running Dstrike, Dead Hard, Iron Will, Unbreakable etc, you do not get to cry. Fact.
Thats a normal game for EU servers in red ranks btw. Most of the time you face sweaty tryhards, that heal right in your face, and complete a gen that is right next to you, while you are chasing. They do that because they know they can do it. They have DH in case the killer is not stupid to waste your time even more. And in those 10 seconds of distance through DH, the rest of the team finishes like 3 gens and you are like damn, what can I even do. You spawn on the map and before you found your first survivor your Undying is gone. Totem perks on EU are often pretty wasted, and still they are the strongest crutches for killers. That shows the real power lvl of survivors. Its ultra rare in EU if you are playing in red ranks that you get "normal non sweaty, non competitive teams, 6 out of 10 games they send you to Ormond with map offering. And while you think about dcing in the offering screen. You are like why did I not bring a mori. Tired of facing those scumbags, that abuse any balancing issue in the game, to get out of reach for skillbased gameplay. And you can often just watch them playing the game. Thats the definition of a bully squad, they know the killer has a hard time. They abuse god loops, they sabotage your hooks, they use o.o.o. A bully squad does not do mistakes and if they do they have dh, DS to get out of the sticky situation. In EU red rank killer its not uncommon to sweat your ass for 2 k. And even then the last 2 survivors that got out are tbagging, because you tried soooooo hard, but in the end it didn´t even matter. While survivors just chill while bullying killers. You thought Clown was bad on NA try Clown in red ranks on EU even with gen regression, you can be happy if you get 1k. And you can play perfectly end chases really fast, in the end you still lose. Because killer has to do tooo much to progress his gameplan, while survivors can waste time and still win in the end. And those bully squads know that, thats why they continue to bully because its gg ez, baby killer in the end.
The survivors should be afraid of the killer, game or not. The fact that people don't have to respect the killer, but the killer needs to respect Borrowed Time, Pallets, Dead Hard, and fifty other things that can't be destroyed preemptively like a hex can just shows how poorly balanced the game is
the ones i hate r the ones that fake windows n all that shit and as soon as i catch on to that they stop faking... and so i try to counter them stopping and they start faking again. it’s like they read minds before they can see i’m trying to counter
Can you make a video on dealing with smooth-brain solo Q teammates? I mostly play solo Q and my teammates make me rage way harder than any tunneling killer.
I don't mind going against "bully" squads. I just have a problem when they start teabagging or otherwise being toxic when I haven't done anything to warrant that. At that point I just dc and waste any bloodpoint offering they brought because I have better things to do with my time than to be insulted in that kind of match.
I see your point, but to me bullying is not only them playing aggresively (even if it feels kinda bad) but also bming all the time (i dont mean a tbag at the exit, mind you). I guess there are groups of people that behvaes both ways, just become 100x more toxic if they see they can abuse the killer without consequences. Maybe to you it doesnt happen a lot because you are very expereinced with almost all killers, but sure happens to me when im off my mains (and to the majority of ppl ).
A lot of killers take survivors just playing the game as bullying when we’re just playing not trying to be toxic but not letting you down us easily....Don’t take survivors just playing the game to heart same to you survivors don’t take the killer doing what they have to do to heart they want to win also.
None of the things you said constitues bullying in this game, what is actual bullying is not leaving through the gate and waiting for the killer, teabagging a killer that is obviously new or you get through a broken matchmaking system instead of just ending the game and getting your points.
