@Dottore Vino Yes, that is what I was surprised about, that he did not touch this super important aspect of how divas affect work place (even if boss - diva relationship is handled, there are diva - coworkers relationships)

Excellent video, I have 2 divas that has worn me out!! I had to step back, refused to play their games and waste my time. They are still in my network, they call me from time to time blaming me for their inactivity. As you have mentioned, they talk a good game, they are lazy and want me to do their work. I need to have a sit-down with them because they are valuable in sales, socially and internationally. Thank you so much!

This piece is on point. Nothing I despise more than a male diva. I usually just destroy them but I'm in leadership now so I have to change up my strategy. This video helped me have more compassion for them. Dealing with one right now.

Still waiting for a diva to mature. One prodigal Diva will come home because he knows no one tolerates his weaknesses even though he is great at his skill. now he understands we run good without him. I still love them all as family.

nope. I don't kiss ass for money. I treat them the worst and with the least amount of care. I also brag about my material objects when I am with them and I only talk about myself. DRives them nuts...... i'm with ya Pat. I have just grown very tired of the business.

What you describe as a „Diva“ is here a typical German „Gummihals“. Big companies tend to raise that kind of guys and many Germans who flooded Switzerland in recent years had exactly these „Diva“ traits.

seduction, by Robert Greene. a freind (actually most reliable long term freind, definitly a diva. with a tendency towards self depreciation?) borrowed the book near two years ago. I did have dificulty conceptualising the characters. looking through history at the character of deities I have noticed the Personality reflected in the character of People.

Programmers are the biggest Divas you can find!! Some of them have been watching "the Network" in repeat mode and they think they are unique because they can punch some code into a keyboard.

I must admit I have a personal grudge with people like that in the workplace. I have some douchebag/diva tendencies myself but I am very strict about keeping that side of me private. When I go to work I leave my emotions at home. I believe that emotional theatrics do not belong at work or in business. If I can restrain myself I don’t understand why other people can’t return the favour. But I get your point that sometimes you can’t avoid having to accommodate people like that.

I personally love the drama and chaos. So i intentionally manage in a way to make everyone extremely agressive. I call our office the lions den. If you can survive my managment style you can work and prosper anywere. The only advice i would give though is to be neutral and if someone does a good job make it known.

I was a diva at the time and ran operations for a huge overseas company, when another diva manager/friend of the owner eventually made me decide to quit... It made them lose their largest accounts cause they couldn't run it without me, I always wondered if we could've worked it out somehow

Ya I am one kind of a Diva. though not a annoying one for sure. I kind of spent some time on a wrong annoying diva but for my own good i quit a long time ago. And the main thing I realized... wow I am actually somewhat good at controlling divas in a group.One has to control the bully part of the diva that I think is a very important step. Yeah I am not a bussiness owner yet. I am just an 18 year old kid. But hey It's just me starting ;) I need watch this again to keep notes.

You helped me a lot about this video. Fortunately that is how I have already been dealing with divas. I used to think that the word diva refes to powerful women, hence most divas are women. Interestingly google still define diva "as a woman..." I had met male divas as well, I have a brother who is a diva. Now I know how to deal will my diva brother.

Divas may be fine and well if they perform and are the rainmaking sort of athletes on a team, but can be catastrophic if the roles are reversed and they end up as coach - especially if they demand a certain level of sacrifice / performance of their team members that they themselves are not willing to give. I've dealt with a couple of these types of individuals in my career.

I facing this as a problem because i met with a fake diva and that person is just continously depleated my resources and now i leave him as a good peace of mind and this video shows me there are also good divas present as now i need to find them and use them carefully in my business. Thanks Mentor
