In general, you guys are both so lovely and amazing with your dogs. So refreshing and reassuring to see people using treats and positive reinforcement, being gentle, patient, and kind to their dogs, and not spreading misinformation about behaviour and training. You both have such beautiful and true relationship with your dogs. It makes my heart so happy and calm to know there are people out there who aren't trying to 'dominate' their dogs, but co-exist with them as equal friends...I wish there were more people out there like you guys. Such gratitude for you both.
Ummm omg the part with the rake I started tearing up at seeing how happy and tranquil those dogs were. You are so blessed! My dog from the day we got her didn’t even like the sight of a brush haha.
Thank you so much The bond we have is very deep and we love spending this quality time with the Squad. How are you guys doing? did you try our routine with your pup? here is a video that may help you a lot! Sending hugs :) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KK-fFf5ePAw.html
haha! Thank you so much! We never knew about ASMR till our RU-vid family told us that our videos are ASMR. We love a relaxed life, so this is how our videos end up being :) Can't wait for you to see the video we published today of the Squad's morning Routine: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BSbLvCQYXBs.html . I followed this routine with my buddy( my husky) his hair looks so good earlier it wasn't looking that good now I get so many compliments regarding it thanks alot...
No matter how much I brush my husky, in the summer the casting/shedding just doesn’t stop. You can even see it get worse with hotter weather. He gets groomed once a month but again it doesn’t really give much of a break. Spring and summer I have to do a big hoover/vacuum every day and lift hair with hand held cordless hoover anything from 1-3 times a day. Even in winter if I turn the heating on you can see shedding starting again. Any tips hints to reduce this. We’re not even a very warm country 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️😂😂
Hi I just found you guys and I love your huskies, I just found a husky two blocks from home and I need to know how to take care of her. She has a lot and when I say a lot of shedding it’s really bad and she is really skinny and I’m taking her to the vet as I speak to see if she has chip . She is so loveable and I want her forever but I have to get her healthy and shots and everything but what is the best dood I can get for her?
I have been thinking about getting a husky your video have been very helpful I was wording if you could do a video about how huskies do with other animals
XxlaurynxX so happy our videos are helpful 😀 if you’re thinking about getting a husky, read this write up on our website. It’s super helpful: huskysquad.com/so-you-want-a-husky/
perfect video! i Just got a 2 and a half year old husky for my first dog and I'm a bit lost. He's a big mush and love him already. This really helped tho so thanks! I'd love to see any training tips you have for marking, staying, and just listening in general. THHANKS!
THANK YOU. omg I just gave it a try and let me tell you this is the best tip I've gotten so far. I've been using a furminator for more then a year now. It was due to be replaced. Instead I gave a shot to your advises and bought those 4 combs/brushes for less then a furminator and gave it a try. the results are amazing the hair is clean, shinny, SUPER soft and fluffy. My Husky hair never look that good and healthy. great tips
YES! So happy to read this. Thank you so much for your comment! We love reading that our tips are helpful. That's exactly how we felt :) Our next grooming video will be the bathing, you'll love it too! Howls and hugs from the HuskySquad ❤️
Quick update: I've used that technique all summer long. I did survived the shedding season. And Ryuk's (my husky) hair never look so great. There is less hair floating in the house and people on the street keeps stopping me to tell me that his air looks great and that (and I quote) look like I really take good care of him. So... thanks you again! May I return the favour? I added one more tool to the mix (that I have been using before. I finish with a boar bristle brush (you can get one for like 7$ @ walmart. This Doesn't remove the husky-hair's natural oil (Or bear ;)... I use one on my beard as well) and it give it a straight natural looks. It also pick up some leftover-hair and belive it or not, makes the fur even more soft.
First, thank you so much for the tip you gave us, we will definitely give it a try and add it to our routine. It sounds like it makes a lot of sense. I'm so happy that this routine is working well for you, it's so much better than the furminator for sure! Hope you guys are doing fantastic ❤
Thomas F Suburban Musher used the Furminator in the past, but switched to the other combs/brushes (like in this video). Not sure if you’re reading the comments entirely. ☝️
THANKS, NOW I KNOW WHAT NOT TO DO. BEEN BRUSHING HER TOO HARD. OOPS, MY POUR PUPPY. SHE WOULD TRY TO BITE THE BRUSH. NOW I KNOW & THANK YOU. SHE NORMALLY LOVES BEING BRUSHED. SHE IS A PUP, 9 MOS & JUST BEGAN TO REALLY, REALLY SHED. AND I HAVE ALL THE BRUSHES EXCEPT THE FIRST ONE. AWESOME! NOW I KNOW HOW TO USE THEM.
Sorry, I am not yelling. I can see better with upper case. I wanted to let you know, this is AWESOME & VERY INFORMATIVE. I wanted to find out how long my Anatolian Shepherd/Husky mix would shed. This is her first time. And I was taking off about a small office garbage size pail full of hair a day for 3 days in a row. How long does this go on? She is not even long hair'd really. More like the Anatolian/Kangal dog fur. I would also like to say, upon searching for videos, yours was the most informative. *I NOTICED THAT MOST OF THE VIDEO'S I HAVE COME ACROSS, RE BRUSHING THEIR DOG'S, THEY DO IT WRONG - JUST LIKE I DID!* They held their dog's head or collar, & naturally the dog would try to move or get perturbed, because *THEY WERE BRUSHING TOO HARD & HURTING THEIR PUPPIES!* Thank you for educating me. I was just to in a rush to get rid of the fur & in the garbage before her other 3 siblings caused it to be blown all over the house. I will make time to have her brushed in a separate room & make it an experience she looks forward too always! AGAIN *THANK YOU VERY, VERY MUCH! AND MY PUPPY WOULD THANK YOU IF SHE COULD SPEAK!*
Dimple Joseph it really depends on the outdoor life you give them. We brush and groom at least once a week - bathe every 4-6 weeks depending how muddy and dirty they become from the outdoors.
Ranfe's Ortiz thanks Smith! They are between 45-60 lbs. It’s important to keep dogs slender and fit to make sure their joints don’t get impacted by being overweight ♥️🙌
I'm just curious if everything you go over applies to a longer fur'd wolf-dog. He's only mid-low-content and is also husky malamute. More Alaskan husky than malamute. But he has a longer coat and just got his first bath of the season. He's 9 years old and has never shed this bad (he looks and acts like he's 2-3 though). He gets so impatient while being brushed.
I just found this video and I'm so thankful to you for the full explanation and showing me how best to deal with my husky's fur. He's blowing his undercoat for the first time since I got him and it is kind of overwhelming, so I needed to know how to best deal with it while keeping him happy. He doesn't like being brushed very much, but he has come to allow me to do it. I was already doing most of what you say to do, so I'm glad I was on the right track to earning his trust. :) Thank you for this video.
My Loki has been getting brushed daily since we brought him home, and he LOVES being rewarded by playing during the post-brush blowout. However, he is always very shiny and almost smooth-coated. Not at all fluffy except his chest, neck, tail, and rear. Is there something wrong with his coat maintenance?
Just found this vid, and immediately I was so shocked that your silver husky looks like an exact carbon copy of mine!! Far better behaved than mine though!!
You can combine All adverture video You have been traveling other countries to make Them movies so All husky owner.can Watch this video excellent make All huskies Owner will love the Hukies dog
Hi i live in a warm climate and they do shed on a regular basis but I only get very minimal loose hair and a daily 10 minute brush is enough but now hes now shedding alot and im brushing him daily for about 30-40minutes for almost 5 weeks now. Is it still normal?
I'M INFINITELY GRATEFUL + THANKFUL FOR ALL YOUR BEAUTIFUL INDIGO STARSEED ATLANTEAN GODS WITHOUT AMNESIA IISYLBS (INFINITE IMMORTAL SPIRITUAL YOUTHFUL LOVING BEING SOULS) HAVING A TEMPORARY HUMAN HUSKY EXPERIENCE. HAVE A BEAUTIFUL IISYLBS ATLANTEAN GODS IN THE GARDENS HOLIDAY.
What is your opinion on using the furminator to get all the shedding fur out? I have heard a lot of different opinions about how it damages the outer coat by cutting it, would love to hear your opinion.
Steve Amores that's a great question 😀 here is a video where we go into detail about this and about the other tools we use, let us know if that helps ❤️ bit.ly/huskysquad-grooming-tools
We have adopted a 2 year old female from a rescue shelter. She’s a husky golden retriever mix. She’s been with us for one week. She’s starting to relax and we are seeing more of her personality. This is our first dog, so I’m trying to learn as much as I can. Nail grooming is a little intimidating for me, so I might get that part done by someone else. She’s very shy with new people so I’m not sure how that will go.
I’ve just recently bought a furminator and have noticed my husky loves it. No guard hairs are coming out as I go very easy with short strokes. It still gets the under coat very well. I e watched many groomers use it on RU-vid and it is way way to hard.
My husband and I are new husky owners (we bought ours a scant 3 months ago) and your videos are very educational. Even tho I did a lot of research before actually getting ours it's awesome to learn new things. And your grooming and training advice has been very helpful. Ty
Julie Jaramillo 😍🤗 yay! So happy you found us! Let us know how this method works for you and if it worked out well, check out the three other grooming videos we have (how to have a relaxed pup, bathing, and tools) I think you'll like them too! ❤️ lots of love to you and you Squad! 🐾
This is a great, informational video, but what I love most about it is how visible your love is for these pups and how strong your bond is with them! It just puts a smile on my face to see huskies happy and relaxed 😌
Husky Squad We are not 100% sure because they are all rescues and all mixes, but we have guesses! We’ve got a pack of 6! A golden retriever/Border Collie, a Border Collie/lab, Border Collie/husky, and staffordshire terrier/pitbull. Then we’ve got our little guy that’s definitely a Cattle Dog mix, I met his mama and helped get her adopted (we think he’s mixed with rat terrier). Our newest girl was my foster, I’ve had her since she was a day old! She gave birth at the rescue to a GSD mix Mom, but she wouldn’t care for her (or her brother who didn’t make it) so I took her home. She looks like a Border Collie though! We foster failed with her. ❤️ I worked/fostered/volunteered for a Herding Rescue, so I ended up with a lot of herders 😜
wow! What a serious squad you guys have ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ I love that! We're big rescue advocates. We've rescued and rehabilitated dogs over the years and it's definitely difficult because you get so attached quickly. Love you for what you're doing. Sending love to all the furballs and yes, I'm sure you have plenty to brush 😂🙏❤
I really really like this video !! Thank you for all of these nice tips about grooming ! And by the way, I will follow languages studies next year at the university : English and Dutch (my mother language is French) so this is perfect to improve my English :). Keep doing videos like this ! They're very very nice ! :) ♥
Michelle Bautista where are you getting your husky from? We rescue only! There are so many beautiful huskies waiting for a second chance to live and need to be rescued before they get put to sleep (killed) 💔 we can help you find a husky! Please don’t buy puppies - it only supports more huskies ending up in the shelter and killed. There are so many of them.
