For some strange reason, I went from NEVER using Charger (Splat1), using them seldomly (Splat 2) to LOVING chargers as a whole in Splat 3. It may have been the lack of Bubbler and Armor from the previous games. As of now, Im in love with Goo Tuber again and I've recently picked up the Bamboo.

oohhh this is so helpful as someone trying to learn chargers, thank you! also makes me feel wayyyy better about my current skill level seeing you get 5-10 kill matches as a top player with a charger. i’m used to getting 20 kill matches with shooters, so i thought my numbers with the splat charger were really bad 😮 but it’s just a different role.. gotta learn how to get the *important* kills with a charger.

Great video as always Dude, I’m gonna do something a little silly and just kinda info dump my experience with Chargers and give advice about the weapon class. So I’ve mained Chargers for quite a while all the way back in Splat 2 and it’s honestly the most fun class in my opinion. For anyone who is interested in the weapon class and wants play it, one of the most important things is not only aim but also your mental state. When I started using Chargers it was pretty frustrating at first, I kept missing my shots and I put a lot of pressure on myself because of it. For those who are using Chargers for the first time try not to put so much pressure on yourself and putting your expectations so high. You will miss your shots and that is apart of the learning experience and that can be said for any other weapon you are using. Just continue practicing the weapon and eventually it will click and you will be hitting more and more of your shots as time goes on. Positioning is also a very important thing. Chargers have to utilize their terrain a lot. Since your character holds the weapon in the right hand, using walls for right hand peaking is very good for protecting yourself while also being able to snipe people. Using small ledges are also nice for cover and hiding your laser. You are also able to jump a little in order to snipe over a ledge. A great example of this is the middle area of Hagglefish Market, the ledge makes for a great place to practice jump snipes. I just want to say that Chargers are a difficult but a very rewarding weapon class once you get the hang of it. Practice with multiple Chargers and see which one fits your play style the most and just continue to use it. Most importantly, have fun. I know that’s something that everyone says a lot but like I said before mentality is very important and when you enjoy playing the weapon, the more you will improve. Once you get a clean set of snipes, it is the most rewarding and satisfying feeling. If you’ve read this far I just want to say thank you and have a great day!

A note on partial charges: there are times when playing Eliter that i purposely use partial instead of full, one of them being when someone is low hp as dude says but there are times when i see someone in range of a partial charge but they're about to go behind cover, i know that if i try to full charge it will not hit in time so instead i tap them with a partial, and when they try to move out of that position again, i can hit them with another partial for the splat, Another time is when a teammate is in a battle with someone, i know i can help with a partial because i want to be quicker than try to full charge This is more of an eliter thing because the charge is so slow, i probably wouldn't partial with any other charger

It can get so frustrating to feel like your missing shots as a charger, but you make it seem like no big deal, even if its been over a minute since getting anyone you just wait for the opportunity to come and I think that is what I need. I know I'm a good backline so I don't need to force it if I feel like I'm not getting anyone.

Dude, I had this one game where I went 26 kills 3 of which were assists and 1 death with the splash-o-matic on scorch gorge tower control s+30.

So I'm practicing with different weapons for a week each I got up to charger and I'm still struggling to find ways to help anchor my team in different game modes I feel I got pretty good at guiding shots and actually killing but game mode wise idk what to do sometimes any tips?
