If you’ll ever attempt to work on a lens, any lens, it's quite likely that you will find out that some parts are permanently stuck, and they won't move no matter how much force you apply to them. And by forcing those parts it is almost certain that you'll cause a lot of damage and this damage is going to be much worse to fix than the actual problem you were having with your with your lens.
It’s a very common problem for all DIY people trying to fix their own lenses and cameras at home and also for new technicians that come to work and they just don’t know yet how to deal with this problem.
In simple words in this job if something doesn’t come off easily, there is a reason for that and it usually means that you are doing something wrong.

Thank you so much for your videos! Have you ever delt with zuiko lenses? I have a 1.4/50 nmc version and the lens blocks are really hard to unscrew. I hate damaging lenses, so I am searching for a right way to get it cleaned inside.

You, sir, are a genius! My Tokina lens has fungi and haze inside rear optical assembly. I had hard time to loosen the ring. Used your tip and opened it up easily. Thank you! Thank you! (Subscribed).

I have a Zeiss 16-80 with a stuck manual focus do you know what might be causing the issue?. Auto focus works fine and when I try to turn the manual focus ring it moves it just a tiny bit only so it doesn’t look like it’s detached

I work on vintage super 8 and 16mm movie cameras. I know all about the "glue", Canon and NIZO used black on the lenses and a semi-opaque brown on wiring screws. The black hold is a pain to get it to release. In this case, what is your preference?

I dont work on these, but this is most likely an epoxy glue. If so, then alcohol won't touch it, but a bit of heat will... don't heat large surfaces, just the glue. ie.:Try to poke it with a soldering iron, it should become soft enough to dig a hole in it:)

Please help. I have a nikon d5200 cam and a vivitar hd4 0.43x wide angle lens that has a macro part attached to it. I used it to take some pictures and at the end of the day I tried removing the vivitar lens, the 1st part comes off but the macro is stuck to my camera. What can I do?.

Alcohol won't help in this case, you'll have to use your muscles and some tools possibly (be careful about the focusing mechanism - easy to damage)
