Thank you so much sir. Your videos helped me alot to pass in first attempt. One thing that I want to share from my experience. It's not very important that u pass in first attempt. Actually you need to be a safe driver on the road for your own safety and others and when exaimer will feel that u are able to apply UK road laws and u are safe on road. They will be pleased to give us a lisence. Exaimers are not our enemies. They just highlight our weaknesses that we have to overcome to be safe and to avoid penalties in future. Breakdown these weakness and work on them separately and overcome with knowledge n practice. Best of luck to all
Doing this rohndabout for the first time tommorow, defintely helped me as It was nervous seeing the diagrams at the start but after watching the full video it made me more confident about doing it
This was extremely helpful. Please can you make one for Middleton Roundabouts. There is an exit from near BP petrol station where left lane heads only to 1st exit.. and how to enter enter onto Oldham rd etc. Would really appreciate a diagram like this one too.
If you were coming from Hollinwood Ave and wanted to exit to the M60 would you approach in the left lane but aim to get into the middle lane of the roundabout?
The way they have designed the lightbowne lane is dangerous. Left should be first and second exit. Right should be middle lane and for going right round. Cause more often than not if you are in the right lane you get stuck by people who ran the red light on the opposite side so you can't come off the third exit. I've been cut up by people in the left so many times.
100% agree with you. Allowing drivers to approach the roundabout from the left lane to take the 3rd exit makes it very dangerous specially for the learners who can not react quick enough.
You have the 3 manoeuvres, #1: reverse parking (parallel parking), #2: reverse bay park to the left or right, or it can be driving forward into a bay then reversing out, and #3: pulling up on the right then reversing for 2 cars length before driving off again. You can be asked to do any manoeuvre depending on the situation, there are no fixed manoeuvre that you do with any test routes. I will be doing the video of all the exercises in the near future including the emergency stop.
How would you get to greengate exit from moston lanes? And one more thing, why do you take a middle lane of the roundabout from Lightbowne rd left side to get the green gate exit? Is it not possible to take middle lane of round about from right side of lightbowne rd?
From Moston Lane use the left lane all the way through. Look at the video clip from 8:36. Because you can use both lanes for Greengate, if you use the left lane on the roundabout that will take you as far as Victoria Ave East so you will have to use the middle lane for Greengate, but you need to be very cautious when using the middle lane as cars from the right lane will try to jump into the middle lane. Not something easy to explain by writing. But hope that helps.
