I'm happily back home in Toronto after living in England, New Zealand, and Australia. Totally relate to your NY story because snow can mess up a lot of plans. I've embraced skiing and skating this year and I'm dealing better with the Toronto climate!

Your preferences are pretty spot on for me as well. I’m in central NJ and even though the winter can be annoying I’ve got access to cities, beaches, and mountains in an hour at most Something I’m definitely grateful for at the moment
In a bit of a pickle. Moved from Toronto to an island in Greece. Debating whether I want to keep it as a vacation option or base. I like it because I get to swim for longer periods which is part of my lifestyle and physically I feel much more healthy. I do love 4 seasons as well, so I am sticking to this. However, I do miss the comfort and convenience of work opportunity and speaking English, meeting up with friends, variety of food options (sushi), and the open minded/spiritual communities. So, as much as I wanted to be close to nature and try a close nit community, I feel I isolated myself in some way. I want to be in between an urban/rural setting for sure by the water and currently searching again for this. It's really hard to pin point with C0vid rules what's going to happen anywhere.
I have been blessed to live on a farm smack dab in the middle of the U.S. I love the weather and I can't see my neighbors from my house. Thank goodness for online shopping.
Dude James...only 7 videos and your delivery, production and content is this good?! Surely you've done this before. This is top notch stuff my man! I think that's a really hard question to answer James, where would I want to live. How could I possibly answer that? haha there are sooo many places I want to visit. Thailand, Scotland, London, Japan, Ireland, Saudi Arabia, (I've been to Kenya but I want to see the entire African Continent!), Kodiak Alaska, dude I just want to see and experience it all before I say yep, I'm packin it in. This is it for me!
Amazing video! I've been state-hopping for about half a year now (Florida, Georgia, Texas, New Mexico, North Carolina)... I grew up in a big town, and now I'm realizing I love living in rural areas...more quiet, less back-stabbing. Anyways, thought I'd share a little bit a bout my journey, and will prob choose New Mexico or Hawaii.
Thanks for sharing this. I've actually considered Medellin, but I'm concerned about the safety of public transit in the city. How do you get around town? Also, do you mind sharing some safe/fun neighborhoods in which to live?
Hey Danny, definitely understand your concerns. I would say that Medellin has some safer and some more dangerous areas just like any other city. In terms of public transit, I've taken taxis and ubers without a problem and I've also ridden the metro a few times without any issues. City busses I've never really been on (uber is very affordable and Poblado is very walkable). I've lived there on and off for about 2 years and I've personally never had any major safety issues. However, I have heard stories from friends about stolen phones, scopolamine incidents, and things like that. So you do need to be careful. I believe that bad stuff happens in every city, it's just a matter of being vigilant, not flashing wealth, not walking around alone at night, and knowing which areas to avoid. On that note, many foreigners in Medellin live in either Poblado, Envigado, or Laureles. Pretty much in that order of popularity. Good common-sense advice. "If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?" Numerous places in Europe - Italian lakes, Amalfi coast, Austrian alps, southern France, plus many more.
