“If you lost the item would you go out and buy it again immediately” Such a great question to ask when I’m unsure if I should keep something in my life! Thanks for your videos- you are amazing!

If you would have come across a dress that you instantly realize you would love to have in your wardrobe, but its not second hand and/or costs more than it should/you are comfortable paying, yet you realize that you REALLY are very exited about it and know it will bring you joy- would you buy it? Have you ever found yourself in such situations after becoming a minimalist?

I think I would! Yes, my backpack for example (I talk about it in a few different videos) I only have one because the one is so perfect. It was new and expensive but from a startup I really like. But if I pay that much money for a (new) product I give it a lot of thoughts in advance to make sure I am not tired of it in a matter of months.

Hi Lia! Just found your channel and I’m happy I did. I slowly made the transition into minimalism about 2 years ago and I love it! I’m excited to watch more content from you. 🥰🌿

I was looking very intensely 😂 I bought it secondhand from an online marketplace and very happy because I really like the color and it is 100℅ cotton which was important to me A well ☺

@@ecofriendlia it's tough work being fussy, well that's the word i use for myself but for good reasons. The colour suits you! And I try buy all cotton too. Wool itches me and obviously fake plasticky fabrics arnt good. I havnt bought secondhand online oftenso next year when my shopping ban is up I will be looking for good websites for this. Hi from New Zealand!

Having a minimal wardrobe you will never have a full washing machine. How do you wash your clothing eco friendly?

Depend on how minimal, some people see 100 items as minimal others see 15 items as minimal... but she does have a son and partner so she would have a full load after a few days

I have white duct tape. That is my „just in case anything brakes“ item. And I have many white things. But I am pretty sure that I‘ll never need it. Would you declutter it and give it to someone else?
@ecofriendlia
@ecofriendlia 4 года назад
Oh, that is such a versatile thing☺ My boyfriend has some too, which I do use from time to time to make boxes out of other cardboard boxes (I make smaller prettier ones to store things in sometimes) or I use it to for packages even though I think there is better tape for that... I think a lot of people love duct tape for the purpose of fixing everything but I have never really needed it for that purpose... I don't know if I would declutter it. Maybe it also depends on how many things I actually have that could be fixed with it...

I am a 68 year old Swiss, recently pensioned. Honestly find I need a lot less. If there is something I do not use regularly, I pass it on or recycle it. Need far fewer clothes for sure. Have basic furniture and live in a nice studio apartment close to Zurich. No need for a car as we have a great transport system. All I would ever need is close at hand. Things must be used regularly and enjoyed. But of course, this boils down to what an individual feels they need. Enjoy your weekend.

Ageing is my reason for downsizing my belongings. While I have the capacity. I find I need less as time goes on.
