Where is the emotion! Those people must be robots...if after a cup of coffee I came back to find my garage so organized, I'd be in tears.

I love these videos that show garages 20x40 with a 25 ft high ceiling. Try doing something with a 12x16 ceiling height 7 feet.

had a similar problem with my mother and her boyfriend, who served time in the military. He had a bunch of friends who passed away. Being that, he also accumulated a lot of memorabilia from his fallen comrades. I suggested that he clean the place once, but gave me a look that I won’t forget. Shortly thereafter, during a small stint at a reunion for fallen soldiers, I called for the services of Jux Los Angeles, a garage and attic cleaning / reorganization company, based in southern a California. My mother’s boyfriend wasn’t pleased with what I had done at first. As a week passed by since the renovation, much to his chagrin, he had to tell me that the place looked so different and that now, he has a place where he can honor his brothers and sisters; in his garage ( I made it extra special and hung up some uniforms his comrades wore on the garage walls…)

Cool. By spending a couple thousand bucks on cabinets, paint, lumber, millwork and totes I can store my stuff in places I'll never access until my house sells.

The overhead bin is something different than usual, but the other ideas of buying shelves and putting things on the shelves...well that's just normal stuff. Also if you compare what we saw at the beginning of the video inside the garage, not all these things have been put back into the garage by the end of the video. So in short, another way to declutter is to get rid of stuff. OMG someone should pay me for this info.

I'm lucky to have a 14 foot high garage. I built shelves two rows down from the ceiling all around. This has freed up the whole garage floor so I could make my wood shop.

That rail system is impressive, although I think it could've been better placed as one end looks blocked. Also it could've done with a lick of paint to blend in with the ceiling. Still impressive tho.
