Happy easter to you and family Suzie. What a beautiful decor - Equestrian style has a feeling of a classy gentleman. Is this the case. As someone who loves horses, and hope I have one or two - with God's blessings :D .... I definitely enjoyed watching... xxx
Thanks so much for your lovely comment. Yes, I feel that richness and classic feel too.and love decorating in this style. Enjoy your Easter weekend and thanks for your support. Suzie xx
Horses are a culture for many. I can see how they would want to reflect that love in their home. We all do it a bit with our own cultures. I see hints of Italy in my home as I am Italian That might make a video Susie. Decor that reflect cultures. Thanks Nice video. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
I love horses. What a cool video. I want to share with you my attempt at equestrian style but for poor people. I decorated a small guest room with vintage illustrations by Wesley Dennis, a paint by numbers thoroughbred and bought vintage western equitation show ribbons from eBay, then got a couple plastic Bryer horses for the dresser. Then I furnished it with an old jenny Lind bed frame. If a 13 year old girl from the 40’s comes to stay she will feel at home. I thought you would like that🤣
You’re very creative to be able to design an equestrian boys room on a limited budget. It’s easy to design when money is not a concern and very different when it is. I admire your creativity and would also love to see pictures of it.
Dressage is nothing but abuse to horses. They cut the horses front hooves to make them prance. The horses look like they’re dancing, but they are in pain, or absolutely in fear of being tortured. RU-vid IT!😢
Equestrian holds its own in its regal status! It truly feels a time thats gone by, for me. I'd like the luxurious horse barn. Horses included! 😉 Thank you for sharing, Suzie 💗 Sending many Easter blessings to you and yours.
Hello lovely Gina. Happy Easter to you and your family. Yes, I'd love the barn and the horses too but I don't ride, just am totally in awe of these beautiful animals and admire the connection my 'horsey friends' have with their horses. For now I'll just enjoy the decor and dream! xx Have a lovely weekend.
One year to the day since I lost my equine buddies to age and infirmity (theirs and mine) and this pops up. Still can't look at their photos. They are buried in their old pasture. Barn has been converted to machine storage and I gave away everything except my dressage saddle and dress boots. I get pictures sent to me from the appreciative owners who are utilizing their old equipment and that is nice. Still love this interior style but I've even put the ribbons away. Lots of emotion is carried in this style for me.
Hello Julie, I absolutely resonate with you as I recently lost my beautiful dog who we had loved for 14 years. We have just a framed oil painting of him a family friend did that captured his light and energy perfectly. I feel for you and totally respect and admire the bond between humans and their horses. So special that the pieces you gave away are being used and appreciated...your horses immortality right there. I guess we have to look at how blessed we were to spend the time we did with these special souls and how our lives are all the richer for having done so. Have a lovely Easter and appreciate you sharing with me. Suzie xx
I enjoyed this so much as it brought back wonderful memories of my childhood in the country. My Mother’s taste has always been the Ralph Lauren style. Casual Elegance.
Hi Virginia, thank you so much for sharing! It is such an elegant & inviting feel the Ralph Lauren style, and how special that is evokes all the memories of childhood for you xx
As someone who has wanted a horse all my life, I would love nothing better than to live the equestrian lifestyle! Now that I have the space and time, I’m not able to care for or ride one. I do have a lot of figurines, lamps, antique books, and other accessories that relate to horses. And I love every one I own, too! Thanks so much for covering this beloved style.
Hello rneustel, I understand the fascination for Horses. We live in the country and are surrounded by cattle and horses and they are just beautiful to observe on my daily drive to work, particularly when with their foals! I too love the decorative equine accessories and there are some beautiful books on horses we have stocked over the years. So glad you enjoyed watching this video. Enjoy your Easter weekend. Suzie xx
Horses are my dream, so much that I named my collie dogs horse names, and I call my formal living room “the horse room”, although I have pared down the horse decor a bit. I’ve always loved them and hope one day to own one! Thanks for another beautiful video, Suzie!! 💜
I have horses and love the equestrian style. I would say I'm more on the modern side, but give a nod to the Ralph Lauren style. I will have to watch this video multiple times to take it all in...I love it. ❤️ Thank you. Happy Easter
Hello Margarette, lucky you to have your own horses. I am in awe of the special bond between owner and horse and how majestic they are. So glad you enjoyed the video. Have a great Easter, Suzie xx
@@suzieandersonhome Thank you !! I too love horses. I rode English for years. I learned at Clairemont Stables in NyC. living in Connecticut now and riding again
Hello Farm Girl, I am happy you loved the video :) That particular photo is sourced from GP Schafer, so I am not sure of the paint colour. It appears to be similar to an ochre paint colour such as this: www.anniesloan.com/product/chalk-paint/yellow/old-ochre/ xx
I have a love-hate relationship with horses. I love them from afar but it scares me to death to ride one. They’re so big and powerful and one ran away with me one time and I’ve never gotten back up on one again. However the equestrian look is beautiful definitely masculine but charming. Another great video on a subject I never thought one could incorporate into a home but obviously after watching this anyone could do it. Good job
Thank you so much bwiseok. I hope you have been well! Yes I am always amazed at how each time I dive a little deeper into a design style, I can see myself pulling elements into my own home and appreciating them equally. I have no spent much time horse riding myself, but being in the countryside I am definitely surrounded by the culture. Have a great weekend xx
