It's advisable to use a base coat so that you can easily stick tissue paper or paint on it. Gesso makes any surface ready for painting. Without applying a base quote colors will not give actual shade as glass bottles are transparent. You can apply either gesso or chalk paint as base coat or if you do not have gesso or chalk paint you can use acrylic paint also for base. coat.

Varnish apply karne k baad aap paani laga sakte ho. Varnish se waterproof ho jayega.

Poster colors are not suitable for decoupage as these are not permanent and will be smudge when you apply modpodge.

It's not advisable to wash thoroughly. After applying varnish you can clean it with damp cloth.

To remove old decoupage paper from glass just get it soak in water for some hours and scrub it. If it is on wood or canvas no need to remove just apply gesso and you can use it for new art work.
