Very similar to what I do. I use Tide free and clear plus washing soda. Washing soda is a really good deodorizer. I also use a small amount of Tide because the towels are already full of soap residue. I wash on hot with a soak cycle, rinse on cold, extra rinse to get rid of all soap residue. I never wash reds with anything else, ruined some things with the red dye transfer.
