My "stepdad" did this to me after i pushed him, causing him to slam hard on the wall and knock down on the ground after i caught him grabbing my mom's hair in anger in the middle of an argument they had. But i am 16 years old. His hands were much longer than mineand he is taller so his body was much further away from mine and i couldn't reach his face/torso easily. I was throwing punches but no hit. But then one strike was the lucky one, right on the teeth, go my first punch-cut, so he let me go. Just practice these things people, after that happened i wasnt really into learning defense techniques but people often think that such things will never happen to them, u never know, trust me.
If a really tall guy grabs you with one hand lapel could you grab his wrists with both hands and then fall to the side to drag him down with your weight?
That is a great question Zeeshan. Here's a related video on self-defense against a taller attacker: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Cxt8dRo4v4E.html Hope this helps. Stay safe
Nick, GREAT video once again, but one question. if that happens in club when someone grabs you like this, am i allowed to just go straight on him, or do i try to talk it out and risk getting punched.. what's your suggestion? TY again for great content on your channel :)
That's a great question Matej. In clubs, things can happen very quickly, so you might need to strike quickly if you feel that your life is in danger. However, as a general rule, you should always try to defuse a fight even if it's in clubs. For example, if can be a good tactic to apologize and offer to buy him a drink. That works quite well. Stay safe.
CodeRedDefense.com yea because cops and stuff are problem cuz u need to show evidence that you were really in life danger to hit him.. So it's safer and cheaper to buy him a drink or try to defuse as much as possible. Tnx for answer!
The dumbest shit I ever seen in a fight, and corect me if I'm wrong,is when people in rage grab your shirt with both hands ,that works with people who are scared, not trained at all or who are inexperienced, as you said you expose yourself In multiple ways with that as you showed. Grabbing with one hand is different, especially if you're a big guy with long range, but as you showed there's a way out of that situation as well. Good lesson Nick
some would argue with me that someone grabbing another person by the t shirt is common practice. but from my experiences... all though middle school and though out high school. bullies would push me to the ground. or trip me. or try and punch me. but never grabbed me. but thats just me. if someone ever did try and grab my jacket or t shirt to attack me they would be in for a world of hurt.
@@codereddefensedont worry about me it started when i was little guy as i saying in that story. anyway my mom saw it and started me into martal arts i started when i was 10 maybe 11 yo. and then years later when i was 19 yo. i started chinese kenpo parker system. and 4 years later i had my 1st dan. then i quit practicing for 4 years. then year 5 rolls around and this military man moves in down stairs from me. i started teaching him chinese kenpo. and he taught me bits and pieces of aikido. and rapid assault tactics system by vunak. and now its years later and im 39 yo. and next month i start seibukan jujutsu and will work for 5 years and get my 1st shodan. and ill see if they can get me past 1st. if they can then ill stay if not then ill start krav maga after it.
Great question. You can use your low line kicks. Here's another video on this topic. Self Defense against a 6'4'' attacker: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0XcX1AAlj1M.html
Don't wear a shirt and box, simple as that, he can't grab your skin just scratches, that's why boxers go shirtless, even in ancient times in Greece they fought shirtless.
Different philosophy than what I've been trained to do. I would secure the hand, as you mentioned. However, my first target is the elbow. Control elbow, control shoulder, drive to the ground and then go for head strikes. Thanks for the unique perspective, however.
Nick is a black belt in bullshido. You need the handle it the way you mentioned. The way the video portrays doesn’t account for different body types. If the dude is tall or athletic and you’re small and petite you’re screwed but with Brazilian Jiu jitsu or judo you can use leverage to your advantage
@@jamesalafayette8255 actually it does. The way this guy's comment suggests to do it works as well. I've been trained both ways. For me personally I prefer to use the one in the video and just strike the vulnerable areas. Attacking those areas will take down anyone because it's impossible to strengthen the area with muscle. The comment version actually takes some practice to do. It's not an easy 1, 2,3. An untrained person can easily mess it up. And worst case scenario if it someone who is much bigger than them they will most likely mess it up. Also another thing to note is that the video version of the defense also works when you are fighting multiple people. Idk much about Brazilian Jujitsu. But from what I have learned is that when you are fighting multiple people you should always keep moving.
Orochi no, it doesn’t work for all body types. Could a 110 lb female to this to a 250lb football athlete? Not effectively. Could said female wrist lock said athlete, absolutely
All good - as usual!! Another benefit of raising your hands/trapping, is that with your palms up (as you demonstrate) you are also able to guard against the attacker pulling you in for the head butt; your palms being between your face and hie forehead.
Never focus on the hand the already obtained, for it is already a non threat. The opponents free hand is where your focus should be. Especially when you van see and most importantly feel where the other hand is already.. Have fun and beat the hell out of the guy.
I was in the street with some friends and someone was shocking in front of us, I told him to stay calm, and then he started cussing, I was like telling him what's wrong, and then he got up and grabbed my shirt, I had some money on me and I was not in a situation where I can fight someone, so I was just trying to scare him, and then one my old friends came and pulled him over, he didn't care and got mad, so he was trying to hit me, he got 2 hits on me while I only got 1 hit on him, but then my friend just grabs him and literally played with him like a toy xd, he we getting hits all over his face, and then a man came and separated us, and now I have problems with him, he was like "if I see you alone you're dead" I didn't really care and got some ice cream, lol, I wasn't scared of him I was scared if he brings a group or something for me, I can handle him easily, but well it is what it is, he saw me small and short so he wanted to fight me, but he got what he deserved..
Lol, and if it's a wrestler? Your head will be bouncing off concrete after that useless groin strike. All of that may work against an untrained and drunk person.
When someone grabs your shirt just start punching them in their face. You have both hands. I’ve beat so many people up by grabbing their shirts though. I have a mean haymaker.
Wat if the opponent is taller than u ? U won’t be able to reach his eyes or throat nor will u be able to reach him with a knee. Groin kick may work though
Great question Deepak. Here's a self-defense video against a taller attacker: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Cxt8dRo4v4E.html Hope this helps. Stay safe
You try to kick his balls when tryin to get in closer and try to break free and pull your weapon and unload into them compketely because you were scared for your life
I don't see how any of this advice is helpful. The first thing they do after grabbing you is start pushing and pulling to throw you off balance. While raining blows. In other words, you won't be able to stand flush and palm strike his throat. Also, wrap your arm down on top of his grip like that, and see if a straight right isn't coming down main street.
If the opponent has you in a solid collard grab, strike his face with a palm strike: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YtWGobxLV88.html. Stay safe Reza
I don't know why but I feel that most of your videos are helpful for wing chun students, because you use a lot of concepts that wing chun also has, but with a completely different approach.
Nick is just trying to show his viewers how one can effectively defend himself, so it's natural that he'll use techniques from various "fighting schools"
