It's a really cute skit. But i would have loved it even more if she got rejected, just to show us that it is okay to be rejected. When things go well like this, you don't actually regret confessing. But when you get rejected, you just regret immediately and you lose the confidence of doing it again for someone else.

...making the first move and being honest about my feelings was the best move I've ever made! It's scary to put yourself in a vulnerable position like that, but driving yourself crazy with all the "what ifs" and not doing anything about it ....will keep you from having that inner peace with yourself. That once shy guy I used to "hang out" with is now my hubby of 24 years and counting! Granted if I hadn't "DTR", he may not have proposed to me afterwards.

I told my best friend I liked him and he liked me as well but he wasn't ready for a relationship. However months passed by and we seemed pretty serious. Talking for hours, hanging out alone, dinner with his family, flirting, telling eachother how important we are to one another etc. I asked to define the relationship because everything seemed so grey and I felt like our feelings were still mutual and growing. But he told me he still wasn't ready to date, and he realized he was leading me on and hurting me throughout the months, so he officially turned me down. recently he's stopped talking to me now and I felt like I lost not only the only person I ever felt like I loved but also my best friend. Some days I really wish I didn't ask to define the relationship but other days I'm glad I did and got it off my chest.

I'm always very forward with everyone. Friends and people I like. I usually tell someone that I like them on the first date or first time I meet them if I do like them. If the relationship isn't clearly romantic from the start by 2nd date I usually say something along the lines of 'hey, I really like you. I don't expect to get a straight answer right now, but I hope we're on the same page'. Helps eliminate being stuck in friendzone. Then if I genuinely like the person I can still be friends without developing feelings for them. Or just move on before it's too late

For me, it's got little to do with gender roles, just practicalities. If a guy can't find the courage to tell me he likes me, then he's not courageous enough for me. That's just my preference. I'm kinda tired of dating guys who lets fear and insecurities stop him from doing anything.

As a girl who’s asked someone else out before, most guys are actually glad if a girl they like tells them first. If they don’t like you, they’re still fine with it usually. And if your guy is turned off by it, then get yourself a guy who respects confident women :) And in regards to rejection, think about it. What’s the point in waiting? When is there ever gonna be a “good time” if now isn’t the time? Just tell them! Even if you get rejected, like I did a few months ago, consider it practice for the next time. And don’t overthink it or sweat it. Just be spontaneous and you should be fine. I told this guy I liked him on a whim, and was really scared to since I got rejected recently. Turns out, he’s my boyfriend now :)

One time I had a dtr talk, it was completely out of left field and the most annoying part, for me, was that he assumed for some reason that I harbored feelings but he "didn't want to hurt us" because he can't seriously like someone he'd never met in person (my friend wanted us to start talking because she didn't like the guys at my job at that time hitting on me so she wanted to set me up with her school friend upstate). It left me a tad salty actually (though he didn't know that) and he was all relieved and went back to texting like normal. Though in saying we weren't going anywhere because I "had more to think about than dating and didn't feel I could like someone again in that way" he seemed a little worried. This happens to me a lot with guy friends because when being myself I have a lot of energy when I'm comfortable with them. It's annoying because when I do actually like someone they don't know until I confess. tldr: human interaction is hard (´._.｀)
