Oh wow! That tip is like a game changer! We have never seen this before. We were dreading having to defrost the fridge whenever we get into the RV! LOL! We are so glad you shared this tip! ~ Shion and Matthew
Excellent video! Very informative and the tip at the end will help alot of viewers I am sure! We have a dometic so do not have that issue but now I know in case I do change up in the future.
Indeed. I’ve seen a few Facebook posts in the past where people had fridge issues and they didn’t know this was all that was wrong. Thanks for watching as always! Have a glass for me 🍷
That's smart with the plastic cutting boards behind there. That's a hack we will have to use. Usually it's a process for us to clean out our freezer. Thank you! - Jay & Jessica
Putting those cutting boards in the back is such a good idea. I'm going to get some the next time I go to Wal-Mart. I've always just used my hairdryer, and it always worked really well. But that's even better. Awesome.
The plastic cutting board idea is wonderful and way easy- what a great tip! Getting the door to lock with the washers is another great tip! Another great video! Chasing RV Sunshine 🌞Joel, Deb & 🐕 Maya
Hey grandma may know best! I’m not taking anything away from her lol 😂 We saw this trick somewhere a few years back and it’s worked well. Thanks for stopping over as usual 👍🏼
Haha thanks, I guess the residential ones are even bigger but this seems to be fine for us. Yeah we found this tip somewhere a few years ago and it’s been a great hack we’ve used ever since. Thanks for watching 👍🏼
Great tip, I have not had to do that yet. My freezer just defrosted itself when it was 18 degrees below zero. :) it quit working for a few days. But now it has warmed up and it is working again. :)
We have the same refrigerator in our RV and that is a great tip on defrosting it! As a matter of fact we need to defrost it now. Thanks very much for sharing this video! Chris and Barbara
That's a genius idea on defrosting a RV freezer. The cutting boards don't cut off anything that helps it freeze things in the freezer?? I'll difently keep this in mind after I defrost the freezer next time.
Thanks. We saw it somewhere a long time ago. Nope, perfectly safe. Doesn’t cover up any kind of fans or nothing like that. At least in our anyways. Been doing it for two years no problems. Thanks for watching as always 👍🏼
Hello! Just stopping by and showing some support =) Thumbs up and full watch for you friend! Hope to see you again soon 👍 -Ashley from Adventure Encounters
Hi friends. This is a great tip. When things are about to freeze outside, we see folks cover their wind shields with towels or cardboard. This serves the same purpose but I wouldn't have thought to do this. And getting the door to lock with the washers is a great tip as well. Thanks for sharing!
That was a very smart idea, we’ll definitely going to steal this one so thank you for sharing.. by the way we’re your new subscribers, so see you guys around Bob & Gracey
Only with the RV freezers which means the ones that can run on propane or electric. The residential style fridge/freezers do not do this. But yes it happens to everybody’s. Have to defrost it maybe 2-3 times a year. Pretty easy process. Thanks for stopping by👍🏼
Well they work as cutting boards, they are listed as cutting boards if you click the link below, even have pictures on what meat/vegetable/food etc. to use on each one. And I use to be a kitchen manager for ten years so I’m pretty sure it’s ok. Pastry mats usually have measuring circles on them. Thanks though 👍🏼 amzn.to/3Dhwyzg
@@WhyWaitSorry If I got you on the defensive, it was not my intention. I totally agree with what you said. I see them advertised as cutting boards with pictures of food on them all the time. And most Patsy mats do have the circles. Some really are meant to be sold as cutting boards, so I'm kinda wrong there, I admit that, but at the same time, they suck as cutting boards and get holes in them pretty fast. Also, I think on occasion the marketing department is misrepresenting the purpose of *_Some_* of these products. The Amazon ones you linked me to are definitely cutting boards. I was a kitchen manager and server too, but that was a dozen years ago. Not a fan of the food service industry.
@@janX9 not a fan of the restaurant industry either, that’s why I got out 👍🏼 and yes, those cutting “boards” aren’t great…hence the reason I put them in my freezer haha
