Can you tell me how this is done for sheets that are online. The f5 methodd doest show up in the online sheets. Its just reloading the tab.

Doesn’t the data to the right of the blank cells get deleted, or do the cells below get shifted up when you select delete blank cells?

Exactly! That's why you need to use the filter method so you only delete rows that have no data at all.
