Apart from getting it from a corrupted external drive, you can also get it from a windows update. These sorts of viruses normally perform one task, with this one it changes your wallpaper to the red background with the text "Black Sky"

Not that I know of. But after getting it off your system, you should be safe. Just get a good antivirus software right after getting rid of it.

These might be some reasons why. Probably the virus does not exist in the directory where you're searching OR it has been deleted already.
