That is false... When I click on the three little dots, I only see Report story, Mute story and Something went wrong. That's it, no Delete option. And when you mute a story, it is only temporary...

No. I’m talking about deleting a story that peers above your timeline for period of time there is no option to delete the story.

Exactly. I accidentally made one by holding my phone in my hand and it took a pic of the wall and made that My Story. 😂 There's absolutely zero ways to delete this! There's no three dots and a delete option as of today. Maybe when this video was made it was an option. Not any more. You can only edit your privacy and who can see your story. For that you have to INDIVIDUALLY tap each person's box. 🤦🏻‍♂️

The same thing happened to me. I added a photo to my story ; photo I did not want to share!! I have followed your instructions three times but : 1. no three dots appear 2. no sign saying "Delete" appears either. What can I do? My phone is a SAMSUNG NOTE

If I follow this procedure an click on "delete photo" does that delete the image from my device entirely or does it simply remove the "story" without nuking the image completely? I just want to remove the story without deleting the image from my photo collection. Thanks!

Did you stupidly say "delete that said story"? A Human would say "delete that story" or "delete said story" but you, you had to be stupid by merging the two...
