@@aswathirajeevan4633 First of all make sure you have the shapefile of river networks (which is polyline). If it is in raster form then convert it into shapefile. Afterwards navigate to 'geoprocessing' >> Intersection. Use the shapefile as input and select output type as point. Before doing it make sure that your shapefile is free of errors. Otherwise you might get point at unwanted spots. Hope it will work for you.
