An easy guide on how to derestrict the 2018 model Peugeot Kisbee. Previous models can be easily derestricted through the CDI but the latest model is fuel injected and controlled by the ECU. This method works without remapping the ECU.
I have a 2021 model, I asked for it derestricted where I bought it. They seem to have done the same thing grinding the magnets off although they haven't ground down into the clutch bell it has been ground flat to the surface. Also they didn't have to move the Hall Effect sensor. Once when doing maintenance I trapped the Hall Effect sensor wire in the CVT cover and it must have shorted something as the engine warning light came on. Its ok now and the derestriction seems to have worked ok. I was under the impression that the ECU was changed but may be wrong. Good to see you got it to work!
So I have a peugot django 50cc I used a grinder with linishing pad , grinded opposite magnets and i didn't touch the sensor at all put it back together and sweet reached top speed on a flat road 65 kilometres still with no restriction at all ,I got 72 kilometres downhill thanks mate for your vid it worked a treat, only thing I didn't do, was not touch the speed sensor 😊🎉😊
Finaly i got it to work on my 2022 kisbee😎 did as you in the video, but it didnt work. After many adjustments it still didnt work, so i cut of the last 2 magnets, and then it works🥰 tnx for this video
Does it have any other restrictors? Like for example a vario ring? I have a 2023 Kisbee 4T EFI 45km/h which seems to be restricted to 48-50ish, and that's fine with me. But if I can make it more fuel efficient or make it pull better uphill, that would be swell. Obviously removing a vario ring should at least achieve the former...
i did this on 2022 model. I didnt make a cavity deep enough, but i did smooth it out. Result is 55kmh but downhill it goes faster 65+. I wonder if making a hole like you did it would delimit it even further.
I do wonder though,,, could the pick up be unplugged,, remove 2 screws and remove the pickup altogether then reconnect it so the ECU still knows it's there then tuck and tie it up under the panel somewhere, and not have to grind any flywheel tabs off at all? Because maybe the pick up is only there to restrict the scooter and nothing else? Because generally the spark trigger pickup is on the crankshaft flywheel along with the generator.
I don't know for sure if it's possible on a euro 5, but I did it on my Kisbee 2019 euro 4. It involves electronics. If you go to the 49ccscoot website, then navigate to the 4 stroke scooters category, and then the 'Peugeot Kisbee EFI 50cc 4T derestriction (solved)' thread. There I have explained roughly how it works on a euro 4 and a suggestion for a circuit.
@@thecannabisguru I've Grinded magnets so that there are cavities in the clutch bell, they are not very deep, about 1 or 2mm, I did not need to move the sensor, but I did it anyway
i did everything exactly as in the video.but it doesn't work for me.if i tilt the censor, the engine management light comes on,and the scooter doesn't run well anymore.the max speed now remains 55 km per hour.what to do am I wrong, or how can I increase the max. speed in another way?
The older models have a CDI and the blue wire method is the correct way to derestrict them. It won't go much faster than 35mph. Your bike is old and maybe the belt, rollers are worn. If the mileage is high then you may have lower compression.
@@davieman3443 thanks thanks for the reply mate ive not long bought it off a mate has loads of new bits he put on as for mileage since new in 2011 its done just under 9k miles was just hoping to get at least 40 if i could but thanks anway
make sure there are no flat spots on the rollers then fit a new belt and air filter. If there is no improvement then check the valve clearances. If still no improvement then either accept 35mph or fit new piston rings. 40mph on the flat is absolute tops so may not be worth taking the motor apart. I had an old and dirty air filter on a Lexmoto Vienna 125, upon changing it I gained 5-10mph so worth keeping it clean 👍
