i see a lot of hate in the comments, friends. this video is really about entertainment and showing what's possible within a couple of minutes with framer. in the end when i address this and say "it's not that far away from a $5k website", it's referring to the fact that you get everything from structure, to animations and responsiveness, for free. stuff that in the past would take loads of time. of course though, it's not going to be worth $5k without spending time to make it specifically customized to a client. that's a given. definitely didn't expect people to get this mad and i'm sorry if the video totally missed the mark. i think that might be the last time i try an edgy entertainment video like this. 😅

Dear Tim, I recently discovered you here on RU-vid, since i started digging into webdeisgn for the past 1 1/2 months. I've watched about 10-15 videos of you already, and I am beyond thankful for the value you provide. You helped me understand figma and framer and webdesign in general - probably already more than any regular design college degree ever could. I know this is a bold statement, but I really mean that. Recognising that the previous videos I've watched were all about 5-6 months old and seeing this video pop up today I was stoked to see what you came up with. Like expected, I was not disappointed. I absolutely loved the video, and I got the message. I also really enjoyed you're approach to this one, spicing in some fun and comedy. This really did something for a video that otherwise would have been purely informational and probably a lot more boring. Obviously, some of the people here in the comments were not so amused. Despite I cannot understand how someone could dislike a video like this so much, I can only assume that these people have some unresolved pain points and frustrations that lead them to a unregulated emotional outburst. As someone with a creator mindset myself, seeing you put so much love and effort in your videos, reading your comment did hurt my soul a little, so I decided to leave you this message: Please do not let yourself be discouraged. - You are doing great. There will always be people disliking what you do, despite all of the thought, effort and love you put into your work. - Let yourself be reminded that this is not because of what you do, but because what they do not. Doubting your self and your work, especially as a creaive is asolutely normal. You would be rather narcisstic if you never had doubts. - Just continue regardless of your doubts. As someone who has learned a lot about content creation, creators and personal brands, I can only tell you that man... - I see A LOT of potential in you, your content and your brand. So KEEP GOING. I love your content, I love your style - Getting things up on youtube may take a while, but YOU ARE APPRECIATED and so is your WORK. Thank you for providing all of this value for free. I hope your course sells ridicolously. I wish you health, wealth and strength and happiness. - A stranger.

Hey Tim! You shouldn't be sorry. This is YOUR channel and your account. You're literally providing people with value and what do they give in return? -hate comment! I don't understand some people. if someone doesn't like something they can just say it in a polite manner. Like how hard would it be for them to say "hey Tim thanks for the video, I think ....... " This is MUCH better than being disrespectful... Just wanted to say this because I know social media and people giving "criticism" can be bothering. Hope it helps and have a great day! Ps. Thank you for the video!

Any time money is mentioned people will get sensitive. That said, don’t let the hate slow you down, Tim! You’re putting a lot of heart and effort into this and your production values are through the roof! One would have to be a calloused cynic to not see that you’re genuinely trying to help and have fun at the same time. Will this site fetch $5000 from a client? Probably not. And that’s where some people are hung up. But I do believe the techniques you’ve showed here are SO valuable to the modern client design workflow that you could conceivably use any of them in a true 4 to 5 figure client contract. So maybe set more realistic expectations for the common folk, maybe, but don’t slow down and lose your humour along the way! Your work matters and thank you for all you do!

I know right LOL, he doesn't understand that a website isn't just visuals, it's copywriting, UX design, SEO keyword research, proper clean HTML structure and making it future-proof (scale and maintain with ease) and that takes a lot of web dev knowledge

Because of all the negative comments I think many people missed the point of the video. Tim is just trying to show what's possible with Framer. Web design used to be limited to those who knew HTML and CSS, but nowadays thanks to tools like Framer, it lowers the barrier to entry, making it more accessible to newcomers. Anyway, I really enjoyed the video!

As someone who actually builds websites as a job, this is a giant pile of dung. No way anyone would pay close to $5000 for a one page website this simple. It would take hours, maybe even days to build a proper site with actuall content. Then again if I skip all the work parts and just take a few screenshots now and then, I could probably make it a 5 min video too. Saying it's not AI generated, then proceeding to use AI to generate 95% of the content is just stupid. Also you only mentions one of the hidden fees from all the programs you are using. It's hard to take someone serious when this is how they advertise their courses.

Yeah this video is BS. He also probably already built a similar website beforehand so he was just recreating it. There are also a lot of splices in the video which cut down the time.

I agree with you on the price overkill, but i can totally see this working for the average business as a starter. Probably $100 max ( which is good for the amount of work ), not $5k, no, absolutely not.

Love the fact that you shuffled the coolors palette just to get a black 😅 Great video idea though- crazy to see where you can get in a few minutes when you know what to do.

I bought the course and can't wait to start working through it. I'm a web design student but I've got like 70% of my technical skills from your videos on RU-vid. I'm not saying university is a pile of trash but it definitely doesn't prepare you for the real world. Anyhow I have clients now and things are going smoothly but I hope I can take it to the next level soon and hopefully your course will be the push I need! Keep up the good work man 💚

Yip you can publish a website instantly. You will want to upgrade to a paid plan though. There are some features you will want, including using your own custom domain address. It’s not expensive though.

Y'll be hating on the title like its your first time engaging in what its called click bait. I feel learning jow ro priperly re use and enhance a template can be a game changer , a time saver and a good wah to get started with a potentially priced website. Ofc its nit your website uts someone else's who made it a template , knowing how ti move around changing things is were thr challenge might actually lie in. As for me i did learn a few thing from this video and as a Figma main , it was quite challenging remixing my first Framer template with no external belp into a more rewarding website.
