If you are poor and want to play with antennas anyway, you can use octave and OpenEMS for basic simulation 👌

Dear Robert, Thanks. It's great and interesting. I tried to generate the gerber files but I find that I am unable to import it in Altium. Could you show us how to import into Altium PCB designer? Perhaps especially how to import the PCB antenna into a component or a footprint? Thanks.

When you put that antenna design in your pcb and enclosure, you may be very disappointed in the result. It will probably "work" but actually measuring the performance against an antenna designed for that exact situation will be surprising. The first time I used XFDTD to redesign such an antenna I tripled the range of that product, and didn't add one cent to the PCB cost.

XFDTD will do that. That is actually the default.

Robert, tell me, please, if the antenna cannot be placed next to the chip, then how to correctly calculate the length of the coplanar waveguide? Does the length have to match the wavelength? Or if the software calculation gives good results for any length, then this is enough?

1:10:28 sorry, can someone explain? We connect feed point between top layer and ground as like we do with via point. So how it supposed to work when both points grounded? Is maybe any materials explaining how it works?

XFDTD by Remcom does a much more complete simulation, pulling in both the actual PCB artwork from Altium, and the enclosure and nearby elements. While it's possible to design an antenna this way, what happens to that design when you put it in the actual enclosure which may include significant metal objects? As you work with XFDTD you will see how even plastics like ABS affect the antenna tuning. The antennas I designed with XFDTD worked as designed when tested by an external lab. A poor impedance match with the common RF chips will result in high harmonic levels, causing you to fail your compliance testing.

You better check his channel first, use the search engine and not post very offtopic questions here. He made LOTS of videos you will find useful. I would rather ask myself the question, if I'm really ready to offer PCB design services without any knowledge. Every hobbist could do it better. Just a hint with a Zaunpfahl ;-)

I’m a Robert fanboy but really wish he would set out his requirements before hand to his guest eg please demonstrate how to design an antenna on a two layer PCB with … type dielectric and …… space between the layers . I need a ground plane on the bottom of the board which is made of …. Thickness copper . Then let the guest work through the design following which q and a time . This will eliminate continual interruptions 🙏
