This mediumship development and training video is titled How to Develop Like the Great Mediums by Martin Twycross. In it, I compare the differences in mediumship training between the great mediums of the past and mediums today. I talk about what we can do to develop like the great mediums of the past. This includes understanding and spiritualising ourselves, developing a relationship with the spirit world, and approaching mediumship as a sacred form of service.

Martin kinda reminds me of my teacher Gordon Smith in some of his thinking modalities trying to link today's science but its still in its infancy really maybe in a few hundred years it will change

but i must point out that i am a empath have been all my life that's not say people cannot display empathy at times its not hard wired into everyday folk they got filters we don't possess although we feel and sense the atmosphere coming from people including Gordon Smith who i have meet several times in workshops its something difficult to describe when its happening including picking up the energy of a room even spirits you just know there something there negative spirits are the easiest to detect but i don't go through any particular process if its there ill know within seconds of entering a room even ones in the open, i,ve had them come to and growl at me teats happened several times. but i have never had the pleasure to meet Martin this is why i like to meet people in the flesh not over tech

May I recommend an excellent book, it is called “ magician to mystic”, the authors are Brian Robertson, and Simon James, both Brian and Simon worked for a time under Gordon Higginson. In the book they speak about the importance of natural mediumship, meaning the ability must be there in the first place, it cannot be fabricated or enhanced, most people can be trained to play a tune on a piano, but few are destined to be concert pianists. I definitely concur with you with regards to how some folks just decide to go and learn Mediumship as a new 'skill'....some begin to do it and then give up when they start to come across 'blocks' to it. And I say 'thank goodness' for that....I do believe that you need to develop spiritually....gradually.....taking your time..... Sitting in the Power is so important. And I love a good lecture!! I have been a Reiki master for over twenty years now....and only just realised that I am entering a new Path of service. I am working hard now towards this new healing Path.

This is so true! Also true of intellectual pursuits: taking time for developing one's understanding and wisdom (not just isolated facts and exercising one's low-end thoughts), and not recognizing expertise without making effort to recognize it. Nice lecture! 🙂

For me it’s two weeks in to spiritualist exercise. As a non-religious person I wanted to say I completely understand your view here about self, the spirit within, and it’s true connection to love for others BEFORE anything else. You want to know why people want to be a developing medium, because most Mediums CHARGE over 200.00 for a 1/2 hour and up. It’s everyone’s God given birthright to develop and it’s so sad to see Gatekeepers price out people that want to heal and tell people they must be born with it.
