Need to make an update about the bias. It should be biased cold. I can't remember what I say in the video. I'm not going to watch everything again, but it must be at 61.3 per side if you have the 100 watt amp. Getting it to .3 might be hard, but getting it at 61 per side should be very easy. I've always heard on the internet that it's biased too cold. Well, they were absolutely wrong.!
One thing I forgot to mention is how to use the effects loop. Effects loops are essentially another gain stage. The amp sounds much better. If you have a pedal in the effects loop. It doesn't have to be on. But it needs a buffer. Then put the blend knob around 12:00. This puts the amp in it's sweet spot and sounds best in my opinion. As far as were you're putting the knobs on the amp and the overdrive pedal.. Will depend on how loud the amp is. What kind of pickup you have in your guitar. The speaker you're using. I'm giving you a close approximate to around where you will most likely have them. However you will probably have to deviate from it.
Thanks for the video. But regarding the fx loop. Do you mean to use the parallel loop with a simple buffer pedal and set the fx loop blend knob flat in the middle? Why? Isn't that gonna make the amp more quiet? And also, where would you put your other effect? The other series effects loop?
I talking about it in the video. Going to the red crunch channel, Get youtube screamer and turn the volume all the way up. Next turn the gain knob to about 1/8th on and put the tone around 1 or 2 o'clock.
