What I like to do is sit under a hooded dryer for about an hour or sometimes a little longer. And, my hair is normally about 70 percent dry by then. After that, I finish by using my blow dryer. I don't use a diffuser, but I control the air flow with my hands. You can do what you like. But, I find that sitting under a hooded dryer minimalizes getting frizz.
