How do you know when you’ve found a sufficient water supply? If you find water at 20 feet do you continue to create a reservoir?

I tried the pole cap and sledge hammer way (galvanized 2 inch metal pipe not pvc). Thats a no go for sure. Florida.

What is the best way to drill? Mud pump, or Jet high pressure...?

Depends on the situation. But the mud pump way is still high pressure (going from 2” to 1” pipe) and the water volume is much much more to flush out the water.

Can you tell me what State this is? I live about 6 miles from the Savannah River in Augusta and I need an irrigation well for my garden pond and my Wife's garden. I have nothing but sandy soil here with no clay or rocks.

Garden hoses are made with lead and aren’t recommended for drinking water. They do make hoses that are specifically safe for drinking. They’re usually white or neon green.

Not just lead, but all the PCBs, phthalates, etc that mess with your testosterone.

Hi Chuck. Thank you for your helpful videos. Like your brother, I am gong to do a shallow well with m pressure washer snd the mini jetter. I have a simple question please. What is the purpose of removing the 2 inch pipe once the well point is down? Can it just be left in the ground? Thank you for your prompt answer a I am at this point in my project.

I really enjoyed your video and I am in the process of doing a well this way, and was very successful until. I had come to the point of inserting my well point and check valve. But when trying to remove the 2 inch PVC pipe, it was stuck! I have tried everything, even a tractor bucket and chain to pull it, and nothing. It will spin when twisting it, but will not come up. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ Any ideas would be appreciated.

I did everything Like you did but got my 2inch about 15ft down and the pipe will not go deeper. I've spun the pipe beat it on top while the jetter is still pushing dirt out but the dang 2 inch has been very difficult to drop down . Any ideas on what to do differently?

Pull it up and look at the tip. My teeth were gone at about 12 feet. I've modified it with a steel pipe nipple threaded to the end and used a plasma cutter to make metal teeth instead. I suspect that will fix my issues

I am in west central FL and am having huge issues with the pipe getting stuck as I try to drive down. The first 15' went great with dirty water flushing out, but then it seems the water pressure is not strong enough to push the dirt/sand up and out. It "feels like" the downward progress sprays and stirs the sandy dirt up and then it settles back down sealing the pipe in place. I am using the 2" pipe with two garden hoses hooked up to it. Will the sewer jetter clear the sandy waste out better? Any help is appreciated.
