Hey idk if you know this, but if you go to Lowe’s (probably Home Depot too) there are bags of concrete suuuper cheap just because they were ripped and had to go into another bag. Keep an eye out for it. Can also ask the person working if there’s any ripped discounted bags or if you see one let them know. Source: I used to work at Lowe’s. Woodworker here, I really like your content but please... Never ever ever wear gloves when cutting wood! If your finger gets cut, you get a cut. If the glove gets caught in the blade your whole hand might get it. This is especially dangerous with circular saws but it applies to jigsaws as well. Stay safe and keep up the good work!
I've seen that technique work so well! I haven't tried it, tough with 2 guys but I'm sure it's possible. I'm always working with pretty weathered tarps haha.
There's a lot of variables to consider, because this is spot is in vacant property, the corporation that owns it is actually closing their entire business - working in our favor. Because this private company would need to press chargers, and they don't have the resources for that right now, But, it always depends where you are building. The conversation around who has access to "public space" is always a good one.
