So nice to hear an Aussie accent on YT. Thanks for putting me into this stuff, it’s packaged so beautifully, and your before & after shots look phenomenal. Great video!
Hello Kylie! Yes not that many of us Aussies in the handbag space on YT and I think we are slowly growing slowly in number as more of us get brave enough to show our face on camera haha! Thank you so much Kylie!
Hello! Thank you so much! I try to be as concise yet clear as possible, as I learn I want to share what i learnt with others! When i first started collecting luxury bags there wasnt as much information out there so I want take you guys along my learning journey!
Haven't seen that style of Chanel before - it's lovely and a change from the ubiquitous quilts (I love the older style gold-plated CC hardware, too). Beautiful :) Nice size too. I only have a rep Caviar CF - was looking up some tips and tricks to keep it looking its best. I ordered Collonil Delicate to use on the 'Caviar' and my Margaux 15. As the The Row bag is smooth leather I'm worried about staining, so it's a good reminder to try a hidden test area. And also not to forget the leather along the chain strap for the CC bag!
Thank you so much for watching! Yes I fell in love with this unique bag. So much so I used me last $2k to pay for it back in 2020 lol (bad decision 😅) which I talk about here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7fSudXg1P4Y.htmlsi=ZK61NRyQwHttZjTc
Hello! Thanks so much for watching! I don't think this handbag model has a name, I refer to it as a curved chevron bag and I've heard other people refer to it as a half moon bag
Have you tried Leather Honey Leather? It's clear and has the consistency of honey but it is not sticky and has no silicone or wax. It is not known for it's shine but more on it's deep conditioning. Have you tried putting your conditioner on your bags wearing plastic gloves. I feel I use less product that way as it is not wasted on the cloth applicator and all gets absorbed into the leather and I'm able to massage it into the bag. I use cloth for buffing it or wiping the conditioner off.
Hello, i know some handbag spas and coblers offer this service and i know there is a device you can buy to do it but ive never been brave enough to try it myself
how are the conditon of the gold chain on your bag? I just got mine everything is in good condition including the CC locks but the gold on the chain is worn and silver is showing in some spots. Well, it is 35-37 years old, so I don't expect it to be brand new lol
This particular bag does not have any silvering on the hardware however the other black bag with the double straps that I showed in my Chanel collection video does. One day I'll take it to a spa for re-plating services on the hardware but it's not in my budget to do so at the moment
Hello, I use blue metal polish cream which i purchased from amazon. I used it on a vintage LV bag here in this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yJ7xgsyQyYU.html . However for the chanel i would only use a teeny tiny amount, i usually use more when polishing vintage LV because it has much more oxidation on the hardware compared to vintage chanel. Also because the vintage chanel is plated in real gold i dont want to rub off too much of the gold hence i would only use a very very small amount on vintage chanel
