In this video, I go through my full process of making my Strawberry memo pads DIY, from my design inspiration to illustration all the way to finishing.
Before I made this video, I experimented on a few different ways to glue the pads together and tried to follow some tutorials on RU-vid, but in the end, I came up with my own way that works for me. Therefore, I also recommend that you try experimenting with different ways to put together your own pads or take what you can from my video.
One thing I didn't mention in my video that I think is also important is that you should glue along the grain, not across from it. If you would like to know more about grain, I talk about it briefly in my DIY booklets video: / m-2bh2jgxh
I performed an experiment gluing along and across the grain, and what I found was that gluing across the grain produced excessive buckling or warping from the moisture/application of the glue. I think the results are best when you glue in the grain long direction, by which I mean orient the papers in the same direction as the grain.
