He doesn't show ever ever step but the half gaurd and clipper no gaurd is very important.. keep pushing!!!

Also take your time, don’t feel like you need to rush the cut.

Hairs are not the same that's why some type of hairs are easier to blend some not

I deal with the same problem. I have been cutting hair for 7 months, and what I have come to understand is that fading is not all systematic. This means that you can have a process in establishing a foundation for the fade by creating guidelines. But once you do this, the steps with blending are different for every client. There are many factors; hair texture, indentations, protrusions, etc), which forces you to be an artist by using guards that you normally would not use in certain areas of the cut, in-order to achieve a blurry fade. It's not like math, where 2+2 = 4 every time. Nope, you have to know how to manipulate your tools to achieve a specific result, even if that means going out of the boundaries, like a woodworker chiseling a piece of wood. Hope this helps.
