Hmmm I don't think the wire through the harness clip was necessary, it's usually being grounded that allows to circumvent the PBS. The wire through the harness clip isn't making contact with anything...or is it?
I have a AVH-501EX pioneer and used a toggle switch and grounded it to the side of the radio. DO NOT FORGET YOU HAVE TO TOGGLE TWICE! Just as the E brake twice
I understood everything except why did you put the wire into the white connector empty space. Are you using chassis ground using pressure from connector for making this connection? Why not just directly connect the green wire to gnd?
What is a microbypass and what does it do? I've tried googling but most resources are showing how to install it/them but none explains to a complete dummy like me what a bypass is or does. Great video though. Wish I understood what this is all about
New reply on "Hello everyone! I have a pioneer Avh-270bt. I cant pair my bluetooth with my iphone. It says memory full. How do i clear the memory? How do i put it in parking brake mode? Which wire is the ground wire? Can anyone help me."
On my pionera 420 dab I connected the hand brake wire (green ) to one side of a capless bulb then to earth the other side of bulb I contacted to blue auxiliary wire 😮 worked mimicking handbrake on, 20 pence I used a small bulb tucking it in to dash don't waste £10 on a bypass
I've had 4 pioneer indash model back to the very first and one of the latest. light green wire tied into black for your ground and its done. never will have a problem again
Can't you just ground the park wire and it will work with the car in motion. I know you're not supposed to watch DVDs while driving but I let the kids watch the head rest screens.
Thanks for the video, very informative. I have the same unit, do you think if I tape the light green wire to the metal of the unit that it will work? Can I hook up the green wire to the ground? Thanks
Question did a bypass on my factory screen watching this kid’s RU-vid it worked but my ebrake is on. So do I cut the wire and leave the radio portion connected to the ground
I have a Scosche SU03B harness that has an orange wire and an orange and white wire. My Pioneer AVH-200EX factory harness has ONLY an orange and white wire. Do I need to connect the orange and white wire and leave the orange wire disconnected, or should I forget both of these wires? I know they are for illumination, but I'd like to know how to connect these orange and orange/white wires. Thanks for any help!
can you do a video for Ouku Double 2 Din In Dash Head Deck 7" LCD Car Stereo Radio DVD Player Mp3 SD USB RDS Auto Slide Down Large LCD Steering Wheel Control
i have a pioneer avh-x4700bs i tried to do the bypass by just hooking up normally light green eith light green black with black and the blue with the blue it does not unlock my radio if i ground the green do i need to hook up the blue wire ???
Would you mind explaining exactly what this does or why it works. I just ordered a AVH-X4600BT but I won't have that other white plug which you put the green wire though. How else will I be able to bypass the parking brake. Thanks
what color is the ground and what color to i put it to for Ouku Double 2 Din In Dash Head Deck 7" LCD Car Stereo Radio DVD Player Mp3 SD USB RDS Auto Slide Down Large LCD Steering Wheel Control
So the green wire attache to the white harness hole.... for what purpose? i dont think theres anything there... should you just have grounded the green wire?
Ali S. Yep! I asked myself the same muh Fkn question...why not just tap the green into the black? Why add the other green and attach it to the white block??
sorry this didn't work on my avic 150 as soon as you drive it goes back when I stop at a red light I can watch but after I get going it goes away again
hey,i have an old model 2004 to be exact/ it plays the dvd but i cant see anything.just the sound.do you think this is my problem? i will try this and let you know.but plz answer
Nice video and i quick question. I installed the bypass and also hooked up the gps antena to the radio, but when I am driving i cant use RU-vid or miracast, a screen shows up on the screen telling me that i cant watch videos while driving. Is that because I hooked up the gps antena to the radio? Thank you.
Yeah same thing. I did it with mine. If it doesn’t work for some reason. Hook a toggle switch to it to emulate the parking brake going on and off make it does electronically. You would have to turn the toggle switch on off and then back on again. I’ve had to do that on units as well.
Hey Lessco, do you have an idea how i can bypass this on AVH-X1500DVD? Few people say that the relay works, i tried and it does not. Thank you in advance.
Sir.i have pioneer4200nex device.i buy this device from accidental car market.when i switch on this device its show some passowrd.can you help me how to remove this password otion or how to factory reset this device
the unit is looking for a brief ground pulse for 1.5 seconds and then be open circuit then see a steady ground. that is what our part provides for you.
just ground the e brake wire no matter what color it is, it will be labeled all that other stuff is unnecessary, it will send a constant signal to the radio while it's turned on, problem solved
I've found that on Pioneers if you just ground the e-brake, after you get up to speed, it will cut the video. This method works on some, but not all, and especially not the units with Navigation
Hi Lessco. Quick question.. i would like to do a bypass on a new avic8000NEX. Can u help me choose the right bypass relay from your site so I can get one ordered asap. Thanks in advance.
What did you end up doing. You don't need anything special. Just installed a avic 500nex. All you do is splice the light green with the ground. Then press and hold the bottom left of the screen for 10-15 seconds and you're done. I will be uploading a video in about a week to show how I did this
+Timothy Olson That unit needs a double pulse style like this one we have: stores.ebay.com/Lessco-Electronics/_i.html?_nkw=1700s+bypass&submit=Search&_sid=77826561
I DO highly recommend you purchase the Lesco bypass module for around $20. I would not recommend putting the parking break wire directly and permenatly to a ground source. As this will cause a ground loop condition that can and will eventually cause damage to the sensitive electronics..
Dokk Tekk no, that model needs this:www.ebay.com/itm/PIONEER-BRAKE-DVD-BYPASS-for-AVH-X2700BS-AVH-X3700BS-AVH-X1700S-AVH-270BT-/141589326263?hash=item20f761a9b7
