Thank you so much! I have your exact hair cut and curl pattern and I was looking for some new things to do as I'm growing it out. I can't wait to try this-You look amazing!
Great Video that i shared with a girlfriend of mine that is trying to get her hair to grow back and her hair is cut the same as yours I will keep you posted .... and if I may add I LOVE the fact you use Aloe Vera Gel which is an EXCELLENT moisturizer for the hair !
I was just thinking of using aloe vera to slick down. Having productscaked on my hair and scalp never sat well with me. If it has to be caked, I’d rather the products be good for my hair and scalp. Aloe is perfect
Are you natural? Cut it! If you wanna straighten it sometimes, make sure to keep a style that is long enough for the small flat irons around the perimeter of your hair. That was always my biggest concern while having natural hair. And thank you for the compliment!
gotta love trader Joe's,,, Nice Job Lady, looking cute. i mold my hair once but only thing is, its longer in the back, so i think i will be getting a hair cut LOL well at least in the back,, cause i like the mold look. I'm gonna try the Aloe Vera gel as well, i put the Eco Styler gel all over and yes it was crunchy
If its natural with a curl and its less than an inch, it may be difficult to keep the curl from flipping up. You could try using a stronger gel and brushing it through and then tying it down with something like a du-rag that hugs the whole head. Otherwise rock the natural curls by defining it with some leave-in conditioner, your favorite curl pudding or cream, or a just a bit of gel fingered through!
I used bleach because my hair is very hard to lift. So I get this in-between color and tone it with a toner so its not so brassy. It was like the first lightening step in my process of going blonde (which took some weeks to achieve). I hope that helps some.
A couple days if you don't sweat it out and keep wrapping it at night. You could do touch ups as the days go on by adding a little more gel and wrapping it down.
