Nahh im growing them if i brush them down and cut them ima have 2 hairlines and if i completely cut them down ima push myself back so im in a situation
Here cause I have dreads and I had a bad habit of going to the barber first. My now ex barber be doing the most to try to put his spin on my nice ass locs and he gave me a front taper that was like a whole inch! I was mad as shit leaving the barbershop and I'll never go back again. Now im trying to let it grow back before my next retwist (while also looking for a new barber) and get like half of that inch incorporated back into the front of my locs.
I’ve been looking for videos just like this I have a similar unstraight hairline and this helped me understand how it gets straightened, very informative thanks 👊🏽
My barber lined up the front of my head without asking, and now i always have to get them. How can i get my normal hairline back? how long will i have to go without a cut.
I regret doing this to my hair, now I gotta touch up my hair line every week or else it looks dumb, and it’ll take too long to grow out to my hairs length
Bob Mah-lee yeah man I understand, it’s hard for people who don’t have the tools to do it themselves or don’t know how .. that’s why I created this video .. I did mine once a week until I finally cut it and grew all my hair out
I’ve been growing my now for around 16 months (top high shaved sides) I’m tempted to do this but shook that I’ll fuck it up and end up looking like Murphy from robocop.
I have a man bun for about a year it’s about like 7 inches , & now and I just pushed it back likes half inch , your video was very helpful, But now it’s making me wanting to have it all one length should I cut & grow it back out?
icl I did the exact same thing and got similar hair to yours. The problem is that the hair on the front is so short that it stands up and sticks out. Turns out looking weird for me
ash 1 the easiest way to do it is screenshot the final outcome of how you want it then show the barber the picture of it. If he has experience, he’ll know exactly what to do in order to fulfill your needs.
Whenever you’re using baby hairs to make your hairline straighter you don’t ever make a WHOLE INCH of baby hairs, it’s literally like a 1/3 or 1/4 of an inch because all they’re for is to make a hairline. I would understand having that much cute short if your baby hairs can’t grow that long but my guy... you literally have healthy hair that you just chopped off to make yourself a hairline. It wasn’t bad, just a TAD bit excessive. I’ll give you props that the line looks straight, not pushed back at all, and overall good.
Randy It was just a style I wanted to rock for a while. The hairstyle I have now I no longer line up in the front because I prefer to keep it natural. This video is just for anyone who wants to line themselves up with long hair on the top. The amount of hair you cut off in the front is entirely up to the person who is getting it done. In this case it was for me and personally I was very pleased with the amount I took off. Everyone has their own opinion.
Rabithgold 48 if you can deal with the ugly stages and just grow it out ..you can, but I preferred to just go 1 all the way around and start over. You can do whatever you’re more comfortable doing. What’d you decide to do ? Since you sent this message 4 weeks ago?
I have. A few qestions 1.i have been tryna grow my hair the exact way way you have youre and I wanna know how long it took you to grow that PS:I SUBBED AND LIKED
pogchamp2op ggx to have it look the way it did in this video, it would have to be about a years worth of growth! But thank you ! I appreciate the support bro !
Ayo bro I’m scared to do this ! I have long hair all around my head I parted it as straight as possible all around but now I’m scared to try to cut it myself should I do it ?
Tbh, i didn’t like the way it looked natural when I would get my hair braided so that’s why I decided to line it up the way I did and I felt a lot better after too.. But i understand everyone has their own opinion and that’s ok.
Tactical Gaming it’s called a taper hairline to many people, but if I were you, I’d show your barber a picture of this or a haircut with the same style you want! Most barbers catch on pretty quick once they’re shown a picture . 👌🏽
Do you recommend getting a line up while waiting for baby hairs/hairline to grow back after a push back or should i just leave it and deal with the shit phase would appreciate the advice
Reformed Dj yamz yess, definitely wait about 2 weeks to a month for the hairs to grow back that way when you line yourself up again, you’ll have something to work with !
Reformed Dj yamz yeah man, you’ll have to keep getting it redone so it maintains fresh. That’s why I made this video so u can do it yourself . That way you won’t have to spend money constantly getting it done.
I think im gonna have to do this in order to get box braids, or can i just braid the hairline with it? I think a tappered hairline is a must for braids
Yo bro you have a sick hairstyle , I want a long hair taper fade but majority of the people who have that hair style have curly hair, do you think I'ttl still look good with long straight hair?
Zeus_Gentleman alright forsure bro, thanks for tip ill keep it in mind lol you inspired me to get it cause it looks sick asf if done right, and you should make more vids bro i fw your content 👌🏻
would my barber be able to do dis? or would it be better if i did it myself and den wait to get it lined up after about a month. not sure bc i’m kinda nervous ngl
I went with the dunk vdays, off white/scream slim fit banana travel Pants and pink j crew French terry hoodie to match the Nike check. For details, maroon socks to match the maroon on the dunk
using that straight razor or cut throat would be far easier for you I think if you put the razor close to your lineup but not too close, and then slowly pinch the skin without moving your arm, only your wrists if you need to. That way you’re not moving the blade you’re moving the skin, and you’re unlikely to accidentally go too high because you have to control your whole arms movement. You done a good job tho but my advice is mostly to those watching who have never used one and haven’t got that muscle memory for it yet Edit: In fact you did use that technique when you were cleaning up the lines in the side. Try it on the front lineup too bro, you’ll get close af with a sharp line whilst maintaining control of the blade
can I do this front taper on wavy hair? I'm trying to grow all of my hair, but I only want a front taper, my hair is wavy, can I do this? will it look good?
I grew my hair out and cut it like 5 times because of my dumb ass widows peak and my shape ups not looking right lol. I just leave it natural now because that look is a pain in the ass to maintain.
Wait I have a question what if u want a line up but don’t want those little hairs, I just want line up to the highest point but without cutting hair over the highest point is there a name to that?
That would just be called “Line up” but you’d have to be really specific to your barber, preferably it’d be best for you to show them a screenshot of an example. Or if you’re planning on doing it yourself, I have another tutorial on how to do what I think you’re talking about . It’s a video called “How to line yourself up with Long hair on top” (I just posted it about a month ago)
I have strange hairline. Straight in the middle and extra hair upto an inch on both ends of my forehead. I had it removed and now I have to do it daily. Otherwise it looks bad, I got a crew cut so that everything gets equal. But those extra hair didn't grew much. So I removed them again . It has become a serious problem for the past 2 yr. I tried wax . But it feels too harsh on forehead and the hairline gets messy if some hair are left. Should I get a laser hair removal to remove them ?
when I was growing up, I HATED my widows peak. I would constantly cut it off with my liners every 3 days because I couldn't stand them. Shaving them with a straight razor would help a lot but it would grow back eventually. As I got older, I learned it wasn't that big of a deal because I saw many people I looked up to that were successful, and they had widows peaks and natural hairlines as well. So I let my natural hairline grow and now I don't let it bother me at all! ( I was so insecure because it was my very own thoughts that had me going crazy about it because I wanted a perfectly squared hairline ). Idk what your hairline looks like, but you shouldn't let it bother you that much. Theres millions of people out there who are going bald whom I'm sure they would probably do anything to have your hairline. Just look and try different hairstyles that will look best on you ! We all have different head shapes and types of hair. Figure out which hairstyle fits your face the best that will make you look more attractive ! Don't waste money getting laser removal ! Work with what god and your momma gave you ;)
This is some ballsy shit. But thanks for this video since I'm looking to get a shape up from a barber and needed some reference how I would get it for with long hair on top.
My highest bald point is kinda high so do u think its good to just line myself then add enhancement to fill in the bald point instead of pushing back to the bald point
Rabithgold 48 you’d have to either part it all around or just part the front in the shape of a square, instead of just parting it into a horizontal line (like in this video).
More Shaabwest It depends on how short your hair is. If you already have a buzzcut or one that is growing out, you won’t have hair to use to create a hairline. But if your hair is 2.5+ inches then i think you could still do this technique.
yesss , when I had my hair like this I would because it would grow back after 3 days to a week... but I lined it up because I would get my hair braided tight every 2 weeks and I feel like it was pushing my hairline back .
Zachariah John Thank you man! I’m glad you recognize that ! I started cutting my own hair at a young age so I was able to get better with time ! But I’m sure you or anyone else can pick up the skills as long as y’all put in the time to learn and practice just like anything else 👌🏽
Everyone’s hairline is different and people’s preferences are as well. This just happened to be exactly how I wanted it during that time. Although I’m sure to many it’s not what they would go for. This video is just for those who would like to achieve this look.
Andrew Yee you could use any liners to do this but the one I used in this video was called “the wahl detailers”.. but I don’t recommend them any more, I now use “Andie slimline pros” .
Bolo Maine I go to the barbershop every week BOOM, all you do is ask for a lineup and a real barber will already know to do all that. Its simply just a lineup.
Bolo Maine go look up 360jeezy and gifted hands I pay 60$ a cut. And they have never called this a “front taper” clients with long hair who ask for a lineup get there hairs separated like that as well.
Yup! It’s a cheat code for us men to make our hairline look straight. I don’t do it anymore because sure it looks crispy and fresh but only for the first week or two then it starts looking bad unless u continue to taper and line it up again. I keep the front natural now and only taper my sides and clean my back also.
RoadRunna Benjii what do u mean? U create the tapered line up using the longer hair you have. If you don’t have long hair, there another line up video in my channel that may answer your question.
