I charge $30 to deliver and almost all of my guests are airport deliveries. If I had a way to do single-person deliveries without eating an uber home every time, I would probably offer it for free. So, if anyone has any feedback on that, I'd appreciate the crap out of it. In Anchorage, we don't have an issue with Security, fortunately. I'm pleased to say that i have three options for my airport guests. First of which is to hand them keys at arrivals and hop in the vehicle a friend or my wife is driving behind me. Second is to hand them keys at arrival and then either drive or ride as a passenger to my home (I live 5 minutes from the airport and am en route for essentially all destinations) Third is to park the vehicle in the short term storage lot shortly before their flight lands and then hop in a second vehicle and head home. All of the options require clear communications. I typically request flight numbers so that I can track and align my arrival time with their landing time (plus a few minutes if they have checked bags). I also reimburse for parking fees up to a certain amount in the even that i mis-time the drop-off in the parking lot.
I'm in the same boat as you. I have 1 van right now and it's had a lot of bookings already and most of them are all airport deliveries. The first one I did I just had my partner follow me, I dropped the van off at Terminal 3 passenger pick-up and met the client at the numbered pole. I had been in good contact with them and had their flight number prior to them coming. They just hopped in the van we chatted for a minute and I left in my partners car. I agree that there has to be a better way to do this so I would love to spitball and come up with ideas that would make it easier and more profitable.
I feel your pain, I had to do the same thing last year when I got started - and trust me it’s frustrating!! Every airport is different, however what works for me is leaving the vehicle parked at the garage 1 hour prior to them arriving. Assure you guide them with instructions, once I park I send them pics of the location and key access. 99% of them love it, 1% find it a bit confusing but usually are first time Turo users.
Hey bro just listed my car on Turo , any reason why when I search for my vehicle with a Different phone I can’t find my listing , however it does say that’s it’s listed !?
Cool. If it’s your first vehicle just give it some time to optimize. Should be fine. If you’re still having 2nd thoughts just call Turo support. They can confirm it’s listed & active.
I'm in SLC now, and looking for Turo rental for the first time. Do you or you guy do pick up and drop off at certain location such as come to my hotel, or meet at nearby popular locations like ariport, walmart?
