I got these done once. I was inspired by Maxine from Living Single. Back in the day no one did them. Well burning the end of the yarn was torture for the stylist but it looked great. It was very stiff and a bit heavy on my edges. But it looked great and lasted very long. Had to take out due to edges.

Yo it looks so easy when you are doing it, i once tried it on top of my short dreadlock, the wool was unravelling😢 oh is it because i was doing on top of dreadlock. I really love your styles they are unique and stunning! Keep it up

It depends on the size of the wool. If it's small size, I use 7packs. If it's big size, I use 3 packs

For me maximum was 5 weeks, and I didn't shampoo the hair during that time but I make sure I spray some water on my hair after every two days to avoid itching

Is it possible to do this on my fiance's hair? He does not take care of his hair properly he doesn't comb it or moisturize it or anything and plus I do not know much about this type of hair you see I'm Native American so I do not have this type of hair so I've been watching videos to be able to do his hair because he wants dreads and I'd also like to be able to do our children's hair in the future too but I have little to no knowledge on what I'm doing and I'm slightly struggling😅💔 I do have to say this video was very good and is one of the better ones I've watched so far so thank you 🖤🫂

My question is it appears that using the yarn or threading style is a longer term hair style. Because I have very fine natural hair my concern is the dry Factor. If my hair is going to be hydrated and moisturized before putting yarn in my hair will it be moisturized 3 days later. And how do you moisturize and hydrate the hair if it's covered by a yarn that is basically made of cotton and polyester which absorbs all of that?

Hi Sis! Thank you We both have different hair types and our hair also behave completely different when it comes to wear protective style for long time Personal when I braids any kind of African Threading or any protective style I will moisturize my hair before braid and after 3 or 4 days I will apply some oil in between the lines then I will spray some water on my scalp After that I will not feel etching or other uncomfortable feelings, but I wear protective style up to 4 weeks not over
