I neglected to clarify this while recording, but this method works exactly the same for both law, Lee and Shaheen. Although their slides have different properties, the input and the execution is exactly the same for all three. If you play on mixbox, hitbox or keyboard, this method works as well, since you can already press multiple directional inputs simultaneously. If you are on arcade stick, this method should work in theory as well, if you have an extra button to map a directional input.
@@dartheory4423go to accessibility settings and look for swap analogue sticks button. Was my method in tekken 7 when slides were harder but now I just use dpad as its very forgiving and much easier to do on dead alone.
Fun fact if you play on playstation you can change the L3 movement to R3 via accessibility > controller. This makes this trick much easier. Also thanks for this video.
@@yousafbajwa4287 go into settings > accessibility > controller and it should be there somewhere. You can try to google it too. Just google playstation accessibility or something
To be fair, this isn't a fair point in favour of the game. The fact that you are forced to think about how to bypass awkward inputs (or learn how to do hawkward inputs, like kbd) isn't a pro, to me.
You are so welcome! I think this will help you a lot, and Its very exciting for me to see new people join the Tekken community! Hope you have a good time and some gg’s 🐉🫶🏻
Very well said and simple to understand. Your technique for slide input is a game changer and will help us out especially beginners. Time to go to slide city during my matches with these slide lol Thank you 🔥
Thanks dude, my finger just cant do ddfd more than 4-5 times, after that it just stop moving fust enough. I m watching u may be for a couple of months, dont know why youtube didnt show me this video before. Btw rly love ur law ranked gameplay videos, so fun to watch and learn from more skilled player. Keep it up.
Awesome indeed. As a Law 'main', the slide is a dangerous and strong tool, but, couldn't use due to the opponent's ability to react, after entering manual DSS. But with this method, it should make it all the more easier.
Thank you for the content. I'm new to tekken and most fighter games (played soul calibur 2 and smash). Content like this is great. Quick question, why did you map the second motion input to your left stick instead of the right?
Glad you like the content! 🫶🏻 I map directional inputs to the left stick because I like to have 1+4 mapped to the right stick, and for me personally, when I do this slide technique I sometimes press the analog down if I assert a little too much pressure on it by accident, meaning I’ll get a unintentional L3 input, so I need to have directional inputs mapped to a analog that doesn’t have anything mapped to it so I don’t get miss clicks. That’s why :)
thanks for the video man i appreciate it. having 3+4 helps out with the ff grab as well. im having trouble getting the numchucks after slide - i always do the spinning back fist move lol. any tips? i dont think you have to go back to neutral but im honestly not sure the timing of it
people do "crouch" with just "DOWN" input , but if u crouch with "DOWN+FOWARD " input and just press "FOWARD " again , while holding "DOWN" soon as he crouches u will get slide , there is just a bit of timing involved I think this is fastest way . ive been doing in Tekken7 too . Your way is very cool tho , nice trick
You could. The reason I wouldn’t, is because I got 1+4 mapped to R3, and when you use this method there is a chance you actually press down the analog by accident, so that you get a miss input. At least I have this problem, but it might be a matter of preference:)
If you have an Edge controller you can make the input even easier by swapping the L and R stick. Hold down with your right thumb, press forward on the d-pad with your left. Grateful you made this video thanks
@lambkin new subscriber to the channel. Watched a few videos on Law. All them very helpful with me picking up Law in T8 but this video is a GOD SEND!!! Thank you brother!
@@Lambkin-_- you can press each direction seperately vs together like down is only down right is only right you can press and hold down and double tap right
@@Lambkin-_- this feels like a game changer… I haven’t changed the controller layout as I play with both index and middle finger on my 1,2,34 but this technique makes me feel invincible 😂 on a 15 win streak and finally out of red rank thanks so much man
