In this video I'm showing you how I do field work! The fastest way to improve in disc golf! (In my opinion)

How do you do field work?

So this video was posted about 2 years ago. I am almost 60 yrs. old, started playing in 2021. I started throwing at the local high school football field / soccer field. I start by just standing at the 20-25 yard line and throw into the soccer goal, or at the base of the goal post in endzone for warmup. Then throw from one side of end zone to the other side of end zone, pretending that the end zone is lined with trees, keeping disc between the trees. Lol's also go to local grade school where they have a narrow line of trees that have low hanging branches ( 6-7 feet off the ground) and practice throwing "low ceiling" shots. I have my practice basket setup at one end of the line of trees, and throw back to the basket from where each disc currently lies. Then I walk over and start putting from each lie of each disc, which is always a different distance, and angle. I am always trying to end up landing my discs within 10 feet of the basket on approach shots, my approach game is my strongest part of my game. I wish I could get a good camera and make a video to post. Most of my friends that play always think that they have to be "on a course" in order to "practice"...? which I think is not the best way to practice.

I liked seeing your warm up and band work. I recommend a video on this. None of the disc channels talk about strength and conditioning and I’m curious what the pros do. You might attract new viewers.

That's a good idea, I might do that. Thanks for the advice!

Great stuff! What kind of range finder do you use? I have been looking for one for a while. Thanks!

Thanks! I use this one www.dormy.com/no/px-10-rangefinder?articleid=91575 I haven't done much research so can't recommend it. But it works for my use. 😉

Your fieldwork has purpose. Mine is like: "wow, disc go woosh x50"

Haha, it hasn't always been that way. But that has given me the best results and I think it's more fun and motivating too 😁
