Here's what I have learned to teach my very diverse group of students (BTW I will happily receive your critique); 1. Part hair into the desired design line. 2. Begin the twist by subdividing the NATURAL hair into a 1/8" section and then divide the 1/8" section into half. 3. Pick up a piece of half-folded FEED-IN hair and lay it across the subdivided hair. Using your non-dominant hand, hold the upper strand of FEED-IN hair in place while using the dominant hand to twist the lower strand of FEED-IN hair clockwise around the NATURAL hair 3x's. 4. Pull the upper strand of FEED-IN hair down behind the previously twisted hair. 5. Twist the previously twisted hair counter-clockwise around the pulled down hair strand 2x's 6. Pick up a piece of NATURAL hair and add it to the previously twisted hair and twist counter-clockwise 2x's. ************************************ 7. Pull the upper strand of FEED-IN hair down behind the previously twisted hair. 8. Twist the previously twisted hair counter-clockwise around the pulled down hair strand 1x. 9. Pick up a piece of NATURAL hair and add it to the previously twisted hair, add FEED-IN hair and twist 3x's clockwise. 10. Pull the upper strand of FEED-IN hair down behind the previously twisted hair counter-clockwise 1x.
