Really helpful video Mam. I'm personally using ahref and yes it takes time to learn how to use these tools(ahref, SEMrush) but if someone is a beginner or has a niche-specific site/blog they can use these steps and can come up with the best keyword ideas for their blogs. Seeing Quora in the SERPs is actually a good thing. Although Quora is a big site, the articles in the SERPs are user-generated content - which can usually be beaten by a well-written relevant article.

My blogging knowledge was accumulated through a variety of sources over the years, from Facebook groups and articles to ebooks and online courses. 😊 As to whether you need to be an expert in the niche you blog about, I would say that depends on the niche but in most cases no - as long as it's a topic you're prepared to write about a lot, you can succeed. (And will probably become an expert in the process anyway lol.)

You can even take a niche you are interested in, then research it and write about it. That's how I got into fitness blogging! My blog started off more than four years ago as a general "lifestyle blog" but over time I found myself writing more and more about home fitness, and eventually I became an expert by doing and researching/writing about it. If you want to go the extra mile, you can take an online course about the topic you want to blog about it. For example, I got my personal training certification through the ISSA to lend my site more credibility But I had already been blogging about fitness long before that. I hope that helps. 😊

Hi, I’m an accountant who doesn’t have clients and I’m struggling to make it although I’m trying really hard by using various methods to market my services. So two months ago I started a blog giving tax and business management info but I didn’t use SEO since I didn’t know anything about it. Now I want to learn and slightly incorporate that since my visits are about 100 per month and yet I have no calls or questions 🤷♂️ I really don’t intend thousands of views but just enough to get me about 10-20 clients so I can make a living.
Hi Kristiyan, In your case, I would definitely spend time learning local SEO and adding calls of actions to your content and opt-ins. For example, maybe you could offer a "tax checklist" for your state/area or a budget spreadsheet of some kind in exchange for their email address. Then you can nurture your email list, demonstrate your expertise in accounting, and pitch them your services. I hope that helps!

Higher domain authorities can expand the competition to include higher-authority sites. Ideally, you would still target sites with a lower DA then you because it's low-hanging fruit. However, you can still compete with higher-DA sites if their content is less niched or if the page isn't really well optimized.

Thanks for the sub and for your kind words! CPC is for more PPC advertising but it can be a good indicator of if the keyword is worth targeting - a high CPC means that there is money to be made with that keyword. But to be honest, I'm more concerned about domain authority, volume, and relevancy.
Good video, easily explained, however, I do not have the bars under any of the search results. I do have the side bar with keyword info, extensions are enabled. What am I doing wrong?
Sounds like perhaps it isn't toggled on, there are a couple different settings, one where it shows the bar, and one where it only displays the DA of the page you're currently on. If you see a number in the chrome extension icon that is probably what is happening and then you will have to toggle it off and on again. Or, you might not be logged into Moz when you tried to toggle it on. Hope that helps!

Since I only serve my town and surrounding areas, when searching for keywords is it best to add location to them? Such as "Orange County Wedding Photographer" Or for the key word search it doesn't matter as long as the blog itself ends up including the location? I'll preface this answer by saying that local SEO isn't my specialty - however, I have written many blog posts for local businesses and would say it is very important to target keyword phrases that contain your location. From what I've seen other businesses do, they have a good mix of location-specific keywords and niche-related keywords. I hope that helps!
Yes, I see Answerthepublic is very limited for free accounts now... It's a shame. there is a 7-day free trial, so you could just do a bunch of research and then cancel. Or the $9/month is still very affordable compared to most SEO tools. The next best thing I would suggest is Lowfruits.io, which is still not free, but also extremely affordable. You pay $25 for 2000 credits, and if you're strategic about it, those credits will last you a really long time. (I'm still on my first 2000 credits and I've been using it for about 4 months.

That is, can a single post be written to target readers located in different countries? is yes, how to do the Keyword research in such cases? shall we search the keywords by selecting different locations? for example, shall we shortlist some LSI keywords by selecting Bangladesh in the Keyword Research Tool, then shortlist some LSI keywords by changing the location and selecting India, and again shortlist some LSI keywords by selecting Pakistan; then use all those LSI keywords in the same post, so that readers from Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan can get the post in SERP and read it if they wish. so I'm a new site but everytime I search keywords in my niche I'm seeing DA's of like 30+ would it still be worth creating content? I'm seeing 32, 35, 38 etc. it would it be too hard to rank? btw thanks for the vid, you've taught me how to do keyword research!
I would try to find sites with a DA of under 20 if possible for the best chance. You can write for higher DAs too but it may be some time before you are able to compete with those sites. Its not impossible to rank, but less likely.
@@CorrieWhoWrites thank you corrie! what about keyword difficulty, I use ubbersuggest and every keyword I like seems to have a high keyword difficulty score, do I ignore that and just focus on other sites DA score to determine if I can rank? appreciate your advice.
Sure. However, over 90% of searches are conducted on Google. From a business perspective, it makes sense to prioritize Google traffic over that of other search engines. 🙂
Hi Marc! Honestly, it shouldn't really matter that much from an SEO standpoint, as I understand it, Google is a lot more concerned with your site's content than site's domain name. 😊

Hey there! The pro version costs $99 per month but you can get 3 searches for free each day. I know it recently changed hands and now Neil Patel owns it, but I just ran a search on it this morning and it worked without needing to log in or pay any money, so you should still be good!
