My brother said that it depends on the instructor, sometimes they have you park in between two cars or one

@YBN-SHOOTA-RAY Tt I don't think Americans can travel there right now. When I was younger I considered moving to the UK or other English speaking nations. Getting too old for that now. Maybe just a vacation someday?

@@kevinfoo8031 I was born in 1969. In 1975 had an older first-grade teacher and she that thought everyone should be right-handed. She required that all of her students use their right hand to write with. Oddly I use to be able to write with both hands. She also failed a lot of her students over the right-handed issue. I have a friend that was flunked by her because he was left-handed and refused to use his right hand as I did. He had to take first grade twice. As a child, I wanted to play American baseball left-handed and I use to eat with my left hand. I have always been a little dyslexic because of that. I also have a cousin that was left-handed and born in 1968. They didn't try to convert her because she was a girl and had a different teacher that was 35 years younger. We went to the same school just had different teachers. In the 1940s and 50s, the American public school system wanted to crank out as many right-handed males as possible. They could better serve the military-industrial complex best. This is also something they don't teach in US History.

@@flilguy Ahhhh, maybe the same reason here in Australia they wanted right handed only writing. We have some left handed vehicles driving here so it would feel like in no-mans land when making turns into streets. My mother's stroke resulted in losing her right arm capabilities so she learnt left handed writing, not as good but still able to use it for other tasks. If we were to meet, do I shake with my right or left? I'll let you begin then I'll follow. Take care of yourself.

@@kevinfoo8031 Some of our rural mail carriers have vehicles that have the steering wheel on the other side. Most mail boxes are on the right side of the road. I have a Ford Ranger and there is an opening on the fire wall for a steering wheel where the glove box is. So a lot of vehicles could go either way.

Then no need to reverse if no car behind you just drive in.

The instructor will still ask you to perform a reverse parallel park just to make sure you can do it (my brother told he still had to do one on his restricted test)
