I'm currently studying at a very boring school I chose 💀 but I am fascinated by nail techs and nail artists, so I ordered a polygel kit and some very cheap tools from shein because I dont want to waste a lot of money on a hobby that probably will never become my job. I watched a few tutorials on yt and tried doing my own nails with dual forms for the very first time - I was impressed! I had watched all the rights tutorials and the nails lasted 5 weeks!

You don’t have to file the backsite if you smooth it before curing or if you have a very short nail you can use a paperform underneath. Saves a lot of work for your non dominant hand.

I have started capping my acrylic with gel on my non dominant hand as it is so much easier to file. Might just start doing that on both hands as l love acrylic and all the colours that you get,capping with gel now is so much easier now that I don't dread filing now! Thanks for the video and l agree with you that colour is really nice it suits you!

I use the cheaper acrylic brushes too for gel,think they work rather good for gel especially when you are using different colours it's easier to have more than one brush rather than have to keep Cleaning to change to a different colour!

I tried using the dual forms, but with the normal forms is much easier for me, even with my non-dominant hand. Maybe if I praticed more I would get better, but why bother I love yor videos, please keep sharing them

Same I struggle with dual forms but nail forms are better. I really want to use dual forms but they start to slide or flood under my nail and it's a mess sadly

You do unreal beautiful nails and makes the dual forms look so easy. Haven't tried dual forms since forever. Didn't GEF it that good so I use paper forms and sculpt instead. Think I have to try it again. Finally found dual tips on aliexpress and ordered them right away👍 Tfs Anastasia💜💖

It could be because we are more careful and particular about placing them properly. I sometimes find I'm better at polish application as well. Lol

I tried it for my non dominant hand and they broke within 2 days maybe because I pushed the dual form too much and the product was thin in the stress point. I will try it again though.

I use nothing but polygel it's so much easier than acrylics especially if you're not a professional, it doesn't dry out until you cure it under your lamp, people think I get mine done professionally 🤣🤭

If you use a regular nail form underneath the dual form you can skip the under drilling step. 😉

What are the 2 drill bits you used? I struggle with getting the cuticle area fixed and underneath when I am using my non dominant hand also, I definitely need different drill bits for it

I tried poly gel nails for the first time yesterday and the Major problem I had was trying to get the dual forms off, it was really really difficult, am I doing something wrong??

U need to move that from side to side and then u need to pop that off its pretty easy

If you haven't cured it enough under the lamp it won't come off. Most of them need 3 minutes at the top, 2 minutes at bottom. When it's fully cured you can kinda feel it. You pinch the sides of the form and then wiggle it from side to side. It should pop off. If you're sure that it's cured but you can't take it off find an edge between the form and your nail and pull it off carefully. I did my nails for the first time yesterday. ☺️

Ugh I wish I saw this about a year and a half ago when I tried doing dual forms. Now I just use a form or nail tips lol. I think I'll try the dual forms again and see how it goes. I know I am so late for this vid, but I wasn't subscribed before you made this. 😔😂 Also I can't figure out how to get the apex right using a dual form. How do you know how much product you need in the dual form to form the apex?

It's not Peachy pink, it's Rose pink. Peachy pink has a slight orange tone. Rose pink has a slight blue tone.

I can see the corners of your nails showing at the free edge. The polygel is very thin there. This weak point always cracks for me. I gave up on dual forms because of it. Broken nails within hours. 😓 Do you think a thin layer of hard gel over top might stop this?

I buff the surface of the first layer and puts a second layer of polygel on. I also refill with dualforms.

When I did mine, two of them bent right at the apex but if I use more Poly gel it is too much and the underneath is super thick. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong 🤷‍♀️

Try using the paper/foil forms, I couldn't use the plastic ones, I found they were just breaking off or oozing product like you said. They take a little practice to use but the end result has been so much better for me

Being a "profesional" nail tech you should of known to use the efile in the oppisote of ypur daily use. You can also see that you didn't clean the sidewalls up after you applied the dual form. You should always clean it all off with your brush first. Because this is not intended to go on the skin and can cause irritation. Especially the underside. FYI, you can totally use tips with the dual forms or paper forms to avoid the under nail leaking.

So I always get a bunch of tiny bubbles in my poly gel, like filling the entire nail, it doesn’t affect my nails at all, they still last forever but it’s not cute when I use sheer polygels and I cannot find anything to help me with this problem anywherreee

Donna Lynn I’ve used modelones and gershion, both brands that I’ve watched nail channels use and not have that problem

Might be your brush is too wet with the slip and it didn't dry before curing. Or maybe use more product and hold your finger on the form for 10 seconds while it's in the lamp. I use a regular nail form underneath and it sandwiches the polygel. You can file the bubbles open and fill with more gel.

Brittany lynn oh so since I made this comment I figured it out 😂 the bubbles weren’t in the poly gel it was my topcoat because I wouldn’t buff the polygel with a fine grit file or buffer before putting on the topcoat bc I didn’t think it mattered bc the topcoat would smooth it out anyway, but it did matter bc there were bubbles everywhere from where the topcoat had to fill in all the deep scratches

You can use nail polish remover or rubbing alcohol if you don’t have dehydrator the point is to remove any natural oil on your nails

The only technology I use is asking the gods and fasting to see if it helps me in the process hahahaha I have a hard time doing my nails with my non-dominant hand...almost 2 hours to do all 5 nails and make them look their best.

I noticed your ring finger bows slightly to the left. Funny story, my sister in laws pinky fingers both curve inward by quite a bit. Nothing abnormal but you can really tell. Anyway, when my niece was born her pinkies were curved in even more. One day my mom was holding her and started crying. I asked her why and she said "somebody has broken her fingers" I about died right there. No, it's hereditary ma!
