What you're actually missing here is that you need to shift your weight from one ski to another at some point during the turn. I'm thinking something that is part of the "lean back" thing, but instead of just leaning back it's at least as important to shift the weight from one ski to another.
I always catch the edge on the 2nd 180, obviously not keeping the ski flat. Leaning back makes sense. Can't wait to try it. I have trouble keeping the ski flattened for pivot slides too. I'm guessing if I figure one out, I'll get the other too. Thanks for the info!
Hi Teri thanks for your message.. I am glad you like the video. Yes practising this will help the pivot slides too... have you finished with skiing this winter?
OMG, thank you soooooooo much for making the video, exactly what I wanted. Just back from Norway, the skiing was amazing but unfortunately the 360 was not, you know this just means I will have to book another week and try again. You have explained it perfectly, it's the leaning back and flat ski's which are my failings, from the moment you learn to ski you are told to lean forwards and from the snow plough stops to carving its all about edging. Now I know, I can try again. Dad 0 son 1 Arghhhhhhhhh Again, thank you so much for taking the time to make the video. M
@@FreeFloFloss Norway 🇳🇴 was great, empty runs so I was able to fall over whilst trying the 360 without being seen by others 🤪, lots of beautiful tree lined runs or head up the mountain above the tree line. Had five blue bird days and two snow days, food on the mountain was fab too. Hotel was 10/10, already booked a return for next year.
@@FreeFloFloss good morning, hope you are well this morning? Skiing today? The resort is called Trysil and the hotel was the Raddison blue “mountain resort”.
@@FreeFloFloss we had a great week thanks, shame we had to leave Saturday morning with all that snow piled up but Friday was fun. Generally conditions exposed my lack of technique so I imagine I'll be in Tignes in December.
