I have never tried bead embroidery or Soutache and watching All your videos have really helped me along and I look forward to making my first projects thank you so very much xx
Thank you so much for these soutache videos. I have been wanting to try it, but have never gotten around to it. I was thinking it was going to be much harder, but you made it look so much easier than I thought.
I do the same thing with the head pins. Except I save the scrap from the head pin (after I've used half) and turn them into eye pins :) always nice to have different size eye pins for other projects.
Yes, you can get the supplies featured in this video on Beadaholique . com's website. The links for the supplies in this video are located in the video description underneath this video.
No, your shaping stitches do not need to be that long on the outside and everyone will probably have a slightly different length. They are shorter on the inside and longer on the outside to help with the curve, but you can make your stitches shorter then mine if you like. Just make sure to watch your thread tension so that the soutache still curves freely.
i loved the videos of this series... One thing though - If you had done the bottom dangler first with the head pin, you could have used the rest of the same pin to make the eye pin as well. Maybe a little OCD but it does avoid wastage.
Beautiful! I just ordered some of the Soutache braided cord from your on-line store. I'm doing a different colorway, (though yours is lovely), to match my "stash palete." This will be a new technique for me, so I am excited for the package to arrive!
